The site can easily reached by train from Chengdu. Transfer is much slower and costly. The site is an ABSOLUTE MUST. Amazing.★

A day trip to Leshan deserves a huge thumbs up! Since we were traveling with elderly relatives and needed to catch an early flight the next day, we wanted to get back to the hotel as early as possible to rest. The travel agency kindly upgraded us to a smaller car service, and the time was well-planned, making the entire trip enjoyable and relaxing. Our driver, Jiang Wensong, was attentive and enthusiastic, and he shared a lot about Sichuan's local customs and culture along the way. The car was comfortable and spacious, fast and stable, allowing us to rest fully. Our guide, Xiao Xiong (I think his name was Arui), was a thoughtful, warm, and handsome young man. Although young, he had a very deep understanding of the history of the Leshan Giant Buddha and traditional Buddhist culture, which he explained vividly. The Leshan Giant Buddha was truly magnificent; this trip was definitely worthwhile!Trip.com Picks
