A must-have for Aussies traveling to Asia – huge savings compared to roaming Rating: 5/5. This was my second time using this eSIM, and I can confidently say it's a game-changer for Australians traveling to Asia. I did the math, and the cost savings are significant. To put it in perspective, I looked at the big Australian telcos' roaming fees: · Vodafone & Optus have a daily roaming rate of AUD $5 for international data. · Telstra's similar plan will cost you AUD $10 per day. For a 10-day trip, that's an eye-watering AUD $50 to $100 in roaming fees alone. Then there's the value when compared to other eSIMs. For example, a popular provider like Airalo charges around AUD $37.50 for a 10GB/30-day plan for a single country like Indonesia. However, this Trip.com eSIM gave me connectivity across multiple countries in Asia at a fraction of that cost. I bought the SIM card for a trip to Latin America, and it worked everywhere except Bolivia, as stated in the plan. In Peru, the connection was often lost, and I had to manually select a carrier, but this could be due to the mountainous terrain. Overall, I recommend it.

Overall, internet access is generally available in the city, and ChatGPT does work. However, it's unclear whether this is an Italian issue or an eSIM issue, but the network is very poor or even non-existent in some indoor areas. It's recommended to download offline translation in areas with good network coverage to avoid not being able to understand menus in restaurants.
