Reviews: From Florence: Tuscany Day Trip with Lunch at Chianti winery
Guest User2025-11-03
It was a memorable day trip in the Tuscan countrysides from Florence. Our guide Luca was the best you could have. He was from Siena and been staying in Florence - so he could bring a wealth of knowledge that was very unique. We learnt so much about the history and culture of the different places. These nuggets added to the charm and authenticity of the experience. The lunch was exceptional with free flowing best tuscan wines and the mind blowing pasta and charcuterie you could ask for. However, one caveat - if you are vegetarian might be better to avoid the lunch and spend the time exploring san gimignano which is also equally worth it. We wished we could have spent the entire day in san gimignano given how quaint and beautiful it was. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a day trip from Florence.

Great walking food tour through La Spezia with a lovely organised lunch at a cute little restaurant where we had a pesto pasta dish that was so delicious. Our guide Manuela was lovely and really took care of food allergies and preferences. Would highly recommend 👌🏻🇮🇹

Reviews: Homemade Pasta and Pesto Class with a Local Chef in Genoa

BOOK IT! We had the best time making pasta and pesto with Chef Alberto on his beautiful rooftop. This was a birthday gift for my dad while we were in Genoa and it was an absolute hit. Alberto is so welcoming and knowledgeable about the region, the food and ingredients we'd be cooking with. We got to be hands on every step of the way. We loved how relaxed the environment was as well, between cooking steps or during our meal, Alberto had stepped away and gave us time to enjoy ourselves but always making sure we knew he was a holler away. The pasta and pesto we made was absolutely delicious, paired with a lovely local wine white, and finished off with the most delicious tiramisu. Alberto, thank you for being an amazing host!

Be sure to arrive HUNGRY because you will be eating so many delicious courses. The hike up to Barbara’s house worked up my appetite and even then I still got full by the end. Barbara and her husband were so sweet and welcoming and their home (Along with their two adorable dogs) was just the perfect backdrop. They grow their own tomatoes and veggies so it truly is a unique and true Italian culinary experience
