I loved this tour. Very informative personal tour of a family’s balsamic vinegar stores and an understanding of the beautiful tradition in Modena of starting batterias of vinegar for each family member when they are born and nurturing them through the years. The family are lovely and the food was delicious. A very educational tour about Modena tradition

Excellent explanation of the vinegar making process. Although we didn’t see the actual manufacturing facility, we did see the barrels where the aging process takes place. Lunch was delicious as were all of the various regional beverages …. And the vinegar, was indescribable. Our hosts were very accommodating.

We arrived at Modena station, and since they don't hold your luggage there, we left it at a shop across the street. The bus is quite punctual, and you can spot it right away; you show your reservation and board quickly. It's worthwhile while you're there, and if you want to kill some time in the town while you wait for the bus, which is also punctual, it's a great option.
