Reviews: San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni: Fully Escorted Tour, Lunch & Wine Tasting

We had a great experience on this tour, thanks to our guide Jakopo and driver Raul. Jakopo was polite and very informative, sharing lots of interesting facts about Tuscany throughout the day. He also gave clear instructions about meeting points and times, which helped everything run smoothly. Raul, our driver, was equally professional and ensured we arrived safely at each destination. Our first stop was Monteriggioni, a charming little town where we had about 30 minutes—just enough time to grab a coffee and take in the atmosphere. We then spent around three hours in Siena, which felt like plenty of time to explore the historic streets, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, and pick up a souvenir. After Siena, we stopped at Poggio ai Laghi for a wine tasting experience. We sampled four different wines, two types of balsamic vinegar, and a selection of bread and cold cuts—definitely a highlight of the day. Our final stop was San Gimignano, where we had 1.5 hours. While we enjoyed exploring this beautiful hilltop town, we would have loved a bit more time there, as it felt slightly rushed compared to the earlier stops. Overall, it was a well-organized tour with a good mix of cultural exploration, food, and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the best of Tuscany in a day.

We travelled with Ricardo and Enrico to Tuscany from Florence and had a great time. Ricardo was a friendly and informative guide and communicated clearly. The beginning of the trip was a bit unfortunate as the morning in San Giminiano was extraordinarily foggy and couldn't see much. Plus Montereggioni Fortress was closes and couldn't stop there. But from 12pm onwards the sun came out and everything went according to plan. The Il Cigliegio Restaurant was lovely, food delicious and plenty of drinks - we tasted 4 in total. They also have some cute animals like bunnies and geese roaming outside. In Sienna we booked both the tour and the Cathedral entrance. It's a good option if you want to learn more about the history and not have to worry about where to go. Also the Cathedral is gorgeous. This left us with just over one hour of free time. Keep this in mind when you book. Overall had a great day, worth seeing these beautiful cities.

A Perfect Tuscan Day With Lorenzo & Prestige Rent If you’re visiting Tuscany, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Lorenzo from Prestige Rent. We spent the entire day exploring the vineyards of Chianti, the medieval towers of San Gimignano, and the breathtaking beauty of Siena, and it was hands down one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Italy. From the moment we met him, Lorenzo set the tone: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about his region. He didn’t just recite facts — he brought the history to life. As we drove through the rolling Tuscan hills, he explained the traditions behind Chianti Classico, the families who shaped the area, and the subtle differences between vineyards, soils, and wine-making styles. You could tell he truly loves what he does. San Gimignano (or as Lorenzo taught us — “San Jìminyano,” with that perfect Italian G!) was incredible. Lorenzo guided us through the village like a local, pointing out hidden corners, the best spots for panoramic views, and sharing stories about the rival families who built those iconic towers. Without him, we would have missed so much of what makes the town special. Siena was equally unforgettable. From the Piazza del Campo to the traditions of the Palio horse race, Lorenzo broke everything down in a way that was fun, engaging, and easy to connect to. He kept the whole group entertained and moving, and somehow made the centuries of history feel alive beneath our feet. The vineyards we visited were exceptional — incredible wines, unbelievable scenery, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. Lorenzo’s relationships with the wineries clearly matter; everywhere we went, we were welcomed like family. Overall, this was a magical, seamless, perfectly curated day. Lorenzo didn’t just show us Tuscany — he gave us a deeper appreciation for its culture, its people, and its flavors. If you don’t book this tour, you will miss out on one of the most authentic experiences Italy has to offer. Thank you, Lorenzo, for a day we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
