Overall, the trip was worthwhile. The semi-guided format allowed for ample freedom in planning the itinerary. Although conditions in Jiuzhaigou were challenging, they were generally manageable. The only slight regret was that the return trip included an optional excursion to Mutuo Village, which was not on the itinerary and took up considerable time, resulting in a late arrival in Chengdu...
