The Paraty Tours trip to Trinidade is a great option for stays in Paraty. We travelled comfortably in an air conditioned mini-bus for the approximately 30 minute drive to Trindade beaches. Although the weather was overcast, it was warm enough to swim. The walk to the secret pools is well worth the effort - but slippery in wet weather. Either wear good hiking shoes or go barefoot. Our guide from Paraty Tours was amazing! He made sure no-one got left behind (a challenge on a slippery hike), kept us laughing, and made us feel at home in Brazil.

The fact that life jackets were not available unless paid for (30 reais) is unacceptable. Life jackets are mandatory safety equipment for emergencies, not an optional leisure accessory, and this seriously compromised my sense of safety during the tour.

This was the best tour I experienced in Paraty. Luis and Rodrigo were excellent tour guides; they were knowledgeable, fun, and very welcoming. I highly recommend Paraty Tours and look forward to booking all my future tours in Paraty with them.


