Andreas was full of information about all of the stops on this tour. He was able to answer all of our (and the others guests) questions. He brought us to a beautiful picture point to see islet vila do campo and at the end brought us to the top of the volcanic crater (about 2000 meters up). This allowed us to see all of the Furnas (including the church that we stopped at earlier that day) in a whole new way. He was very very articulate with explaining the process for both the tea and the pineapple plantations. This tour was a good balance (about 50/50) of structured group time and independent time to explore the stops.

A marine biologist was the guide and she was named Marin (I understand so at least). She was super nice and had the joy of working with animals. She explained every little detail about dolphins, whales, seagulls and the island... We saw common dolphins and an orca family. It was so exciting. One of the best experiences of my life. I will absolutely come back for this experience :)

In a jeep or small vehicle, you feel like you're on a private excursion. The routes are much more beautiful because you can travel on internal roads. The driver-guide, Felipe, was truly professional and kind, and since there were only two of us, he accommodated our needs by providing personalized tours. Congratulations!


