Always accompanied by our guide Sery, we traveled today to the heart of the Ribera Valley, from Barca to a refreshing waterfall where we enjoyed a refreshing walk. We observed the local flora and fauna, including baobab trees, monkeys, and fruit trees. We ended our visit at a unique rum distillery where we received a very warm welcome. It was an absolutely wonderful day. Our guide, Bravo, led the tour brilliantly, and we had a fantastic driver. We not only learned a lot about the history and culture of Cape Verde, but also picked up some new vocabulary and phrases in the national language and even some traditional dance moves. The route was breathtaking and incredibly varied. We would definitely do the tour again, especially with Bravo as our guide. Highly recommended! :)


