Excellent – a truly unique and memorable experience. A warm welcome, well-planned "stations" with cultural information and opportunities to participate. The large tour group was divided into three groups so everyone could see and do something. Delicious snacks were served throughout. In the assembly hall, there were interesting dance performances and wonderful singing. The multi-course meal was delicious. I just wish I'd had more time to talk to the Maori people, ask questions, and take more photos.

We drove to Mitai Village on our own. At the entrance, members of the Mitai family, who run the village, were waiting with the list of registered guests and assigned us a specific table, marked with a number. Ten people of different nationalities sat at each table, giving us a chance to get to know our new tablemates. It was a lot of fun. The evening consisted of a show with Maori costumes and rituals, an explanation of the Maori situation (including answers to questions from the table guests), and a lavish buffet with typical Maori dishes.
