A solo trip to Hokkaido can be absolutely amazing! Perfect for making souvenirs – so impressive! ✅ Otaru Canal: The canal is covered in snow in winter, complete with retro gas lamps – so romantic you'd want to film a K-drama! ❄️ The glass shops and music box shops along the street are fantastic; even the little trinkets you pick up are incredibly exquisite. ✅ Mipai Snow Park: Kids from the south went wild! Sleds, ice slides, snowmobiles… so many activities you wouldn't want to leave. I like our guide; very pleasant, approachable, and quite charming as well. The tour for me is well-paced, and I do not feel hurried at all. I think this is worth it because it'd be tough to do it on your own, especially when traveling alone.

The journey was quite long, and lunch on the first day wasn't particularly good. The afternoon visit to Shipu Ancient Town didn't offer much to do. Dinner was at the hotel, which was better than lunch and had a nice ambiance. We booked a sea-view room, but the view was barely a glimpse of the sea; the beach next to the hotel was very small, and the water was yellowish. However, the accommodation was excellent, and the hotel facilities were quite complete. Breakfast on the second morning was very plentiful, a buffet at the hotel, but time was limited. Afterwards, we went to the hot springs, which were quite nice, with many pools, but the downside was that it was very crowded. Lunch was a boxed lunch on the upper floor of the hot spring building, which was just average. After lunch, strolling around the mountain scenery was quite pleasant.


