Reviews: Fishing experience in Tromso Fjords, Norway (multiple cruise options available)

We found the Hermes fishing boat, a vessel with over a century of history, through Ctrip. It specializes in organizing fishing trips for tourists. We booked a trip on short notice, from 7 PM to 10 PM – essentially daytime since the sun never sets. We had a great time, and although it cost over 1200 RMB per person, it was worth it. If we had planned earlier, there might have been tours for around 900 RMB. The chances of catching fish on a trip are high. The captain constantly used radar to search for schools of fish and then steered to areas with them, essentially snagging rather than fishing with bait. The fish were boiled in seawater on the spot, incredibly tender and fresh, reminding me of fishing trips with my father 36 years ago! Our group of 10 caught about 10 fish; we ate some, and it seems we threw the rest back into the sea. When we disembarked, we bought a souvenir: an enamel mug with the Hermes name on it. The price of 275 crowns made us secretly wonder, but after comparing prices at the airport and other shops, we realized that 275 crowns for such a fist-sized enamel mug wasn't too expensive. 👍
Reviews: Whale watching cruise in Tromso, Norway (catamaran/RIB speedboating options + whale watching in Skjervoy/Andenes)

A very wise choice; the small boat couldn't even reach us due to traffic congestion that day. The overall operation was smooth and comfortable. On the return trip, there was a rough sea, and everyone on board got seasick; remember to take seasickness medication. Food and drinks on board are chargeable, warm but expensive. We were lucky enough to see many orcas and two pilot whales that day; the orcas even passed right under the boat.
