Our family of 5 enjoyed this hands on experience getting to grind and prepare our our own matcha. The small museum attached, which is included in the price, also helped in building our understanding of green tea . Easy 15min walk to the station . 10min walk to the main market street(great for matcha foods and souvenirs)and the Byodoin temple (also well worth visiting)★

Thank you to our tour guide, Xiao Liao. He first emailed us, clearly outlining all the pick-up details, and then, after we added each other on WeChat, he wrote out the entire itinerary in detail. He was incredibly polite and meticulous. The next morning, he was there early at the subway station with a piece of paper bearing his name on it to meet us. He provided commentary throughout the trip, switching between Chinese and English, and was very kind and friendly. We appreciated his companionship. Kudos to this hardworking and diligent young man! He made our trip even smoother and more fulfilling.
