Because I arrived on the island in the off-season, I was the only person who booked the tour, and ended up having a private tour. Even though the weather was far from perfect — with rain and strong winds — the tour was absolutely amazing thanks to Amélia. She is an outstanding guide: warm, attentive, fun, and incredibly passionate. She knows so many fascinating things about the island and tells its stories in such an engaging way and always ready to answer any questions. She’s also a truly interesting person. I loved every moment of it. The island is breathtakingly beautiful, and I can’t wait to come back and experience it again during the season!
