This tour was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our guide, Ran, was extremely kind and professional. She contacted us the day before to finalize the pick-up details and stayed with us throughout the entire journey. She explained the pandas’ way of life and habits in great detail, pointing out many small but interesting aspects we would have otherwise missed. We also enjoyed pleasant conversations during the trip, which made the long drive very enjoyable.
The lunch provided was simple but much appreciated; the mandarin in particular had an amazing fragrance and flavor. Ran was very patient and always available, even offering to take photos for us.
I highly recommend this tour: the Wolong Panda Base truly deserves a visit, even though it is about a two-hour drive from Chengdu.★

A lot more panda on display and further (2hr drive) than the other panda base around Chengdu w 1 F&B outlet with coffee and hot snacks. The water dam area is huge and climbing steps are needed. Typical tour bus driver stop at selected meal spot with higher pricing while the driver got meals too.
