Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark is located in the Black River District near Chamarel in southwestern Mauritius. It is a rare natural colored sand dune. The debris and volcanic ash left by ancient volcanic activity have weathered over many years in the hot, humid climate. The iron, aluminum, and other minerals they contain have oxidized in varying proportions, gradually creating layers of red, brown, purple, blue, and green bands. These bands spread out along the undulating hills, resembling, from a distance, a piece of colorful silk wrinkled by the wind, cascading down from the lush forest. The sand dune area is small and enclosed by railings and boardwalks. Visitors can walk along the viewing platforms to look down. From different angles, they can see the subtle changes in the direction and intensity of the color bands, which are especially distinct when sunlight shines obliquely. The sand dunes themselves are barren, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding lush vegetation and adding a touch of mystery.

Mountain environment Because the volcano is dormant, the area around the crater is now filled with houses and overgrown with vegetation. The plant cover, like a green carpet, gives new life to the otherwise quiet volcano. Scenery along the way The crater is approx. 600m above sea level. To see it, you can charter a car to get there. The drive follows winding, rolling country roads into a quiet, upscale residential area, then continues up a steep slope to a parking lot. From there, you need to hike a steep trail to reach the rim of the crater. Scenery on the hike During the ascent you will pass pavilions, benches, and well-maintained lawns where visitors can rest or have a picnic. If you climb in the afternoon, you can enjoy a beautiful, romantic sunset. After following the steep path to the top, you can take in the surrounding scenery, with rolling mountains and lush green plains as far as the eye can see. Summit views The summit has railings you can hold onto, and you can clearly see that the crater is well preserved. Over time, rain and sediment have partially filled the crater. During the rainy season, a small pool forms at the bottom. In dry weather, the crater is dry. You can see dense thorny shrubs and trees growing on the crater walls, and the abundant vegetation gives the dormant volcano a green, living appearance. Without a guide's explanation, you might not realize this was once a violently erupting volcano. The area was once frequented by small deer, which is why it was called Trou Aux Cerfs, but today there are so many visitors that the deer have been scared away. From the high viewpoint, you can take photos and enjoy the distant views. Then walk down from the high point; a path to the right circles the crater, and from that path you can overlook Mauritius's central plains. Local vendors along the way sell souvenirs, so you can enjoy the scenery while browsing their local specialty items. Follow the path to the other side of the crater and you will find the same quiet, solemn sight. What was once a place where lava roared and surged in ancient times is now covered in lush vegetation. A natural vertical curtain of water still falls inward, a silvery waterfall hanging against the crater's green walls, creating a poetic scene. There are also some beautiful houses and gardens around the crater that you can visit. Afterward, you can go into town to experience local residents' way of life and enjoy their folk culture.

Baie du Cap is a small headland on the southwest coast of Mauritius that juts into the South Indian Ocean. It is named for its remote location facing the open ocean, as if one has reached the end of the land. The coastal road here makes a sharp U-turn around the giant rock at the tip of the headland. Chamar Falls is located on the southwest side of Mauritius Island, adjacent to the famous Seven Color Earth Scenic Spot. This is the filming location of the movie "Jurassic Park". While viewing the scene, think of the shock of being in the age of dinosaurs! Chamar Falls is formed by the convergence of two rivers, with a drop of nearly 100 meters, which is equivalent to the height of the Statue of Liberty. In the rainy season from November to April of the following year, two water columns can be seen galloping down. Going to the seven-color soil, after driving into the scenic spot, you must pass this place along the road, and there is a free parking lot on the side. The waterfall has two viewing platforms, one near the parking lot and the other on the hillside, accessible by stone steps. More tourists will choose to take a photo at a higher viewing platform, because there is a full view of the waterfall. It's worth going. The giant tortoises, lions, and the last wild reserve, antelopes, and giraffes all look different from those in China. The foreign lady who exchanged the tickets was very responsible.

The volcanic terrain of Mauritius has created a natural landscape with a low mountain but strange shapes. The seven-colored soil in Chamarel was discovered by a Frenchman who was planting sugarcane fields here. Among the sugarcane fields here, only this piece of land is barren. Tamarin does not offer the clearest sea water but is one of the dolphins favorite morning spots. Book a kayaking tour from one of the local companies to bring you dolphin watching or explore Rivière Tamarin. An excellent way to see things from a different angle and travel more responsibly.

Looking from a distance on the Xiamar Plateau of Heihe Mountains, three waterfalls fall from the cliff, which is very spectacular. This is the first place of Mao Tour and one of the famous scenic spots. The waterfall is hanging on the cliff of a huge stone cave, more than 100 meters high. From a distance, we can see two fine white exercises, swaying with the wind and facing the scene. It really feels like flying down 3,000 feet. The scenery around Shamal Falls is beautiful, and the vegetation is very good.
