Public Library of Salamanca - Casa de las Conchas is located in the heart of Salamanca's old town and is a highly recognizable palace in this university city. Construction began in the late 15th century, commissioned by Rodrigo Arias Maldonado, a knight of the Order of Santiago, and it took over 20 years to complete. The facade blends a Gothic framework with early Renaissance Plateresque ornamentation, serving as a testament to the era of transition between old and new architectural styles. More than 300 protruding scallop shell carvings cling to the exterior, densely covering the walls, a feature quite rare among similar buildings in Spain. Today, the building serves as a public library. Stepping inside, you can visit the courtyard surrounded by two-story arcades, where the row of short marble columns on the upper level is particularly exquisite.Spain · Salamanca

The classical Baroque architectural style is unique among many squares in Spain, and it leaves a deep impression on many tourists. The starting point of every walking tour in Salamanca. As a popular resting place for citizens and tourists, Plaza Mayor de Salamancais known as the "heart full of sunshine and air". It was built by Albert Churigra in 1775 and was finally completed after the hard work of many architects. This is one of the more gorgeous squares in Spain. Alderdi Eder Park is a scenic, historic seaside city park that combines natural beauty with urban charm. Located right next to the City Hall and La Concha Bay, it is a green oasis in the city center facing the sea, where visitors can enjoy the sea breeze and views of the bay and Santa Clara Island. The park is rich in vegetation, with palm trees common to the seaside and the distinctive "tamarisk" (a shrub or tree with pink flowers) standing out. Its twisted trunks and soft branches sway in the sea breeze, and paired with several geometric flower beds and neat lawns, the overall layout is exquisite and elegant. Alderdi Eder Park also features a romantic, nostalgic carousel with a strong Belle Époque style, which is an attraction loved by both children and adult visitors. The park also has decorative ponds with sculptures and fountains, as well as several benches for resting and sightseeing.Spain · San Sebastian

Zubizuri was completed in 1994 and designed by Calatrava. The parabolic arch stands 14.6m high and is formed from a curved steel pipe with a diameter of 75 cm, resulting in an exquisite design. The bridge's technical design is also rigorous, featuring 6 shock absorbers, which allowed Calatrava to create a pedestrian bridge that spans the Nervion River and complements the city's style while largely ensuring its structural integrity.Spain · Bilbao

This Roman Bridge of Salamanca is located in the Golden City of Salamanca. Although it has weathered over 2,000 years of history, it still stands intact, spanning the Tormes River. It is said that the bridge was originally built by Emperor Trajan, but of its 26 arches, only the 15 closest to the city date back to the 1st century AD, while the rest were rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries after the bridge was destroyed by floods. With its beautiful surroundings, the bridge has become a popular dating spot for university student couples. From one end of the bridge, you can also enjoy a panoramic view of the Salamanca Cathedral (Catedral Nueva). After nightfall, the Roman Bridge of Salamanca, illuminated by city lights and accompanied by the gentle sound of flowing water, is incredibly romantic!Spain · Salamanca
Miramar Palace

Miramar Palace

Miramar Palace is located in Donostia-San Sebastian, in the Guipuzcoa Province of the Basque Country, Spain, and is one of the most iconic historical buildings in the area. Built in the late 19th century, the palace was commissioned by Queen Regent Maria Christina of Spain to serve as a summer residence for the royal family. The architecture blends English country estate style with neo-Gothic elements, featuring a combination of red brick and light-colored stone that gives it a dignified and elegant appearance. Since the 20th century, the palace has witnessed historical changes such as royal successions and urban development, and was later taken over by the municipal government and opened to the public. Today, it not only retains a rich historical atmosphere but also serves as a venue for cultural exchanges, academic events, and conferences. Strolling through the palace gardens, visitors can feel the elegance of the former royal summer retreats while enjoying the unique natural scenery of the coast, making it an important window for travelers to understand the local history and culture.Spain · San Sebastian

There is a very famous building in Salamanca, the Shell Stand, which is famous because tens of thousands of shells are carved on the outer wall of the building. It looks densely packed, hence the name. It is also one of the most famous attractions in Salamanca, and you must come and see it.

The main square of Salamanca is said to be the most beautiful in Spain. It is indeed beautiful, but the weak light in winter cannot compare with the bright sunshine in summer, so the photos we took are not as good. There are many celebrity portraits around the square. According to LP, Franco's portrait is covered with plastic bags to prevent it from being damaged, but we didn't find it and left.

A very beautiful place. If you're on a tour bus, be prepared for a hike, bring comfortable shoes and water; there are no cafes or restaurants at the very end. If you're looking for a budget option, you can take a bus from Bilbao to Bakio, then walk 3 km.

Alderdi Eder parkea is a pleasant urban park and leisure area situated south of Old Town and northeast of La Concha Beach. The park is filled with palm trees, other interesting tree species and nicely landscaped flowerbeds. There are walking paths, park benches, a merry-go-round and other light entertainment for the little ones. You can see the historic City Hall building and walk along the promenade enjoying views of the sea and beach nearby at Alderdi Eder Parkea. Overall, this is a nice spot if you are looking for green space or leisure grounds while in San Sebastian. Note that there is not much shade anywhere in the park so bring a hat and apply sunscreen if you plan to spend much time here.

The Roman Bridge is a famous historical relic in Salamanca. It still spans the Toleme River intact. The arches near the city end date back to the 1st century AD, and the rest were rebuilt after being destroyed by floods. This bridge witnessed the prosperity of Salamanca in the Middle Ages.
