Lake Vanern
Lake Vanern is located in west-central Sweden, spanning the provinces of Värmland and Västergötland. The shoreline is long and winding, with countless islands and reefs scattered near the shore, forming a vast inland freshwater archipelago. Akershus Fortress
Akershus Fortress features an exquisite Renaissance style. Inside, you can visit various halls and royal chambers, with furnishings that retain an ornate, vintage atmosphere. The castle church still serves ceremonial functions, and several monarchs and royal family members are buried in the crypt. The site occupies a commanding position, and climbing the ramparts offers a panoramic view of the fjord and the harbor on the opposite bank. The surrounding lawns are spacious, making it a great place for walking and taking photos. As an important historical fortress, the changing of the guard ceremony is a long-standing feature. Voringsfossen
Voringsfossen is located in Måbødalen valley on the edge of the Hardangervidda plateau. The waterfall has a total drop of approx. 182 m, with 145 m being a vertical free fall. The water plunges from the edge of the plateau into the deep canyon, with mist and roaring sounds echoing through the valley. Several viewing platforms and trails have been built at the top of the waterfall. One of them is a staircase bridge that spans the canyon above the waterfall, offering a panoramic view of the main waterfall and the deep valley. The viewing platform on the side of Fossli Hotel also offers a wide view. If you want a different perspective, you can also follow the old road in Måbødalen down to the valley floor to look up at the water cascading from the cliff top. This old road, which opened in the early 20th century, is still open for walking or cycling. Along the route, there are still thousands of stone steps built at the end of the 18th century to cross the plateau. Lysefjord
LysefjordLocated in southwestern Norway, with a total length of approx. 42 km, it is a long, narrow waterway carved by glaciers between granite mountains. The name "Lyse" comes from the light-colored granite on both sides. The fjord's landscape was initially formed by streams eroding an ancient plain, and later continuously sculpted by glaciers during multiple ice ages, ultimately shaping the deep U-shaped valley seen today. The cliffs on both sides of the fjord rise almost vertically from the water, with the highest points reaching around 1,000 m. Pulpit Rock
Pulpit Rockis a natural flat-topped rock protruding into the air by the side of Lysefjord in Norway, with a nearly flat surface, suspended approx. 604 m above the fjord water, covering an area of approx. 600 square meters, and protruding over 30 m from the connected ridge. There are no railings on the edge of the rock platform, and beneath your feet is a nearly vertical cliff. Standing on the rock surface, Lysefjord narrows into a long, deep waterway in your field of vision, with steep mountains on both sides, clear reflections on the water when there is no wind, and passing cruise ships that look as small as toys. Be sure to go early for less light and fewer people. Otherwise, even if you're queuing, you won't be able to capture this feeling.
