Hulhumale is an artificial island formed by land reclamation. The island is adjacent to Velana International Airport and is connected to the airport island by road; it can also be reached from Malé via a cross-sea bridge, making it an urban island with convenient transportation in the Maldives. I want to talk about the newly opened Faarufushi. It takes a long time to get there by flying from Male and then taking a speedboat. The island is not big and it takes 20 minutes to walk around. There are 70 to 80 rooms on the whole island. There are not many guests and it is very quiet, suitable for couples and honeymoons.

This time I went to Siyam. The hotel is actually quite new, but the island is very big and requires a shuttle bus. It is not as convenient to travel as other islands I have visited before.

It's beautiful, and it's not as hot as I imagined. There are many Chinese tourists there, so there's no need to worry about language.

For most people this will be their first or last stop in The Maldives, as it is the island on which the airport is located. It is newly reclaimed land and being designed as a kind of "back-up" capital city in case neighboring Male succumbs to rising sea levels. As such, it is a bit of construction site as new hotels, apartments etc are going up all over the place. An okay beach for a quick dip, but gets a bit of floating trash. In any case, it is okay stopover for a night after arriving or before leaving the country.

It is called Pisces because its water house is built in the shape of two fish, one large and one small. You can also see from the picture that the sea around the island is all white. This is the "lagoon". The English name is "lagoon". It is a white area formed by the accumulation of dead corals, but not above the sea level. It is very shallow and very beautiful when viewed up close. It takes less than an hour to get to the island by speedboat from Male Airport. As soon as I got off the boat, I was shocked by the clear sea water (I can't say blue, because this lagoon is too big, it's so big, amazing), and the weather was sunny. Looking at the island from the pier, there is a long plank road. On the left is the SUNSET restaurant that I will often visit in the future, and on the right is the LAGNOON bar, where I will have my honeymoon meal. The sea on the right is very shallow, very suitable for swimming, snorkeling, water activities, etc. The sea on the left is deeper, as you can see from the color, and it is not recommended to go into the sea here. The junction of white and blue is the junction of shallow sea and deep sea. There are the most fish and corals here, and the water flow is very slow. It is very safe. Even if you can't swim, you can come here to swim. Many people come here to dive early in the morning. There are free coffee and tea for you to make, and there are kettles. The water tastes like desalinated seawater. Sometimes it is a little salty, but we think it's okay and we are used to it. We didn't bring much water this time. It is recommended that students don't bring too much water. There is no need to be tired. Two small bottles of mineral water are delivered every day. There are shampoo, shower gel and other things in the bathroom, even razors, and a lot of towels, which are changed twice a day. There are also power converters and hair dryers. The small fish water house opens like a skirt, and the panoramic view is very beautiful. My favorite infinity pool, there are two on the whole island, I only found out later, I thought there was only one. Dinner is a buffet, and the meal time is 7:30. Be on time. If you come too early, they really won't let you eat. Xiao Hei has already booked the place. We will eat at the same place for the next four days. Tell Xiao Hei the room number when you enter the door and he will take you there. There is no water or drinks in this buffet. You have to order them separately, so we had to use fruit instead. I checked before coming to Shuangyu Island. The snorkeling is not very good. The main reason is that the LAGOON is too big, which affects the fish and corals. But there are still two good snorkeling spots near the pier. The advantage is that the water is very shallow, which is very suitable for people who can't swim. It is very safe and the waves are small. The entertainment projects on the island are different every day. After you get on the island, Xiao Hei will hand you a detailed description of the project in Chinese. Don't worry about not understanding it. However, there is the same project every day, which is "snorkeling at sea". It is probably the most popular project on the island. People who came to the island this time seemed not to be very enthusiastic about participating in these projects. In addition to snorkeling at sea, other activities, such as night fishing and island tours, basically did not have enough people to participate. Each activity requires a minimum of 8 people. Snorkeling costs $45 per person, plus tax and service fee, it's almost $50 per person. To register, just fill in the room number and name on the registration form at the reception one day in advance, it's very simple, and then set off the next day
