Things to do in Kyoto

Fushimi Inari Taisha was a magical place. So beautiful for pictures. We went early evening before it got dark and it was perfect as not too many people. Highly recommended in Kyoto.

Having just recovered from a prolonged illness, I was so weak I could barely walk. The few days I spent at this hotel gradually restored my energy and spirit. It allows you to shed your fatigue and let your soul find poetic peace in its tranquility. All the lighting was soft and warm, not too bright to make you dizzy; the bed's firmness was just right to support your back, preventing soreness after lying down for a while; the meals were warm, easily digestible congee and side dishes; even the air had a mild scent, not irritating my sensitive respiratory tract. Every day I leisurely strolled in the courtyard, watching the wildflowers slowly bloom in the corner, sitting under the eaves basking in the sun, even my steps were light. There was no need to rush my recovery, no need to force myself to get better quickly. I stole a half-day of leisure, finding a long-lost sense of ease and freedom. Those few days I lived entirely at my own pace, without any pressure or urging, and my recovery was much faster than I had expected.

Kiyomizu-dera is one of the most beautiful temples I visited in Kyoto. The historic wooden stage offers a stunning panoramic view of the city, especially during the spring and autumn seasons. Walking through the temple grounds was peaceful, with traditional buildings, beautiful gardens, and a calm atmosphere. I also enjoyed exploring the charming streets leading to the temple, filled with local snacks, souvenirs, and traditional Japanese shops. The temple’s rich history and impressive architecture made the visit even more meaningful. Although it can get crowded, the experience is well worth it. I recommend visiting early in the morning or later in the afternoon to enjoy a quieter atmosphere and take beautiful photos. It is a must-visit attraction for anyone exploring Kyoto.

Go here if you want to explore street food in Kyoto. These two alleys have food stalls and restaurants to fill your cravings for dango, daigaku, kobe beef, wagyu burger, matcha ice cream, etc.It's a good sidetrip when you're going to Yasaka Pagoda and Yasaka Koshindo Temple.

I originally just wanted to find a place to unwind for a couple of days, but I unexpectedly found immense relaxation here, perfectly embodying the saying "Poetic beauty is created by the heart, and dreams are fragrant." The room temperature was adjustable, unlike many hotels where it's either too hot or too cold. The bedding was soft yet supple, allowing me to completely relax. The hotel's small garden was exquisitely maintained; while strolling, I could see delicate wildflowers blooming along the path, their fragrance carried on the breeze. At night, there was no noise from traffic, allowing me to sleep soundly until I naturally woke up. There was no rush to get ready; I leisurely washed up and went for brunch. This unhurried feeling was incredibly comfortable. Looking back as I left, I was suddenly struck by the sentiment, "Mountains and rivers may meet again, but this is the most serene place." Next time I want to unwind, I will definitely come back here.

We visited this place by night time. It was amazing and very peaceful. I like the architecture and atmosphere there.

I was surprised that there were many foreign tourists after getting off at the bus stop. The direction signs stand out. There are security personnel wearing uniforms on the crosswalk at the entrance. Admission tickets are only available in cash. The size of the tourist area is not large, so you don't have to walk for a long time. The trees are well managed. I can't get close to the building, but I was moved enough just to see it from a distance. If I live nearby, I might come here for a walk every day.

For those who can endure hardships, are willing to toss, like hiking, and have plenty of time, it is worth going✅; Otherwise, it is recommended not to go, there are many other temples in the city to visit❌ . 2⃣️Reason for recommendation? ✔️Kifune Shrine is an open temple built along the mountain, without walls, and there is a river flowing down next to it. The sound of the stream is very healing🥰 ✔️There are 3 palaces inside: the main palace, the middle palace, and the inner palace! The most beautiful place is the winding steps at the entrance of the palace~ ✔️After the lights are turned on in the evening, it is very dreamy, especially like the scenes in 🇯🇵anime🏮 ✔️You can experience the special water divination ➕ river bed afternoon tea, very cool🌿🍃

I didn't plan to visit it but since it was near our last hotel we gave it a go... and it was great ! 😊 really loved the seals 🦭, giant salamander, jellyfish collection, the dolphins, the penguins, and the mini eels stripy and colorful ! I'll definitely will go again for the shows !

a place for worship, relax and you can find peace inside out, the place is ancient and the distance is a bit far away surroundings are nice
