Elephant Rock
Elephant Rock rises from the golden sea of sand in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, and is a highly recognizable natural geological landmark in the region. This red sandstone monolith stands more than 50m tall, roughly the height of a 10-story building, and was formed by millions of years of wind and sand erosion into its present shape: a massive body set among the dunes, with a pillar like an elephant's trunk that reaches the ground. A newly built ancient city, it's very interesting to walk around. There is a parking lot next to it, and there are free minibuses or eco-friendly cars to pick you up. It's actually very close, about ten minutes walk. There are Internet-famous restaurants here, but without accommodation, dinner is a bit inconvenient.

An important leisure place for locals, you can grill and eat on the beach. The beach is a little bit unclean, but due to the hot climate here, the sea breeze after sunset is quite pleasant, especially after 5pm on Friday when there are more people. I sit on the blanket with my family and chat with them while bringing food.
