Little Havana

4.5/5
149 reviews
Little Havana is the cultural heart of Miami's Cuban community, centered on Southwest 8th Street (Calle Ocho), which is lined with Cuban restaurants, coffee windows, and cigar shops. Walking down the street, you can often hear salsa and merengue music drifting from the shops. At the small street-side windows, you can order a Cuban espresso paired with a guava cheese pastry. Cigar shops along the street often have artisans hand-rolling cigars on-site, where you can stop and watch this craft passed down from Cuba. On the Calle Ocho sidewalk, pink marble stars on the ground form the "Latin Walk of Fame," commemorating Latin cultural figures associated with South Florida. Painted rooster sculptures are scattered along the street, serving as highly recognizable decorations for the community. Long-standing music venues like Ball & Chain often feature live Latin bands. This area is also a window into the festive culture of the Cuban community, with annual events such as the Calle Ocho Festival, Viernes Cultural, and the Three Kings Parade held here regularly, featuring music stages, open-air art performances, and cultural parades.Miami · 4.1km from downtown

Everglades National Park

4.4/5
145 reviews
Everglades National Park is located at the southern tip of Florida and covers approx. 1.5 million acres. It is one of the largest national parks in the contiguous United States, second only to Death Valley and Yellowstone. The entire wetland is often described as a slowly flowing "River of Grass"—freshwater flows slowly from the interior toward the sea, sawgrass stretches like an ocean, and mangroves and bays converge at the southern end of the park, creating a rare subtropical wilderness view. This wetland is also a paradise for wildlife: American alligators float on the water, manatees swim slowly in the warm waterways, and the elusive Florida panther can be found here. Water birds such as roseate spoonbills and wood storks make this a famous bird-watching destination in North America. There are many trails and tour routes to choose from in the park: the Anhinga Trail features a boardwalk elevated above the water and is a classic spot for observing alligators and water birds up close; Shark Valley Visitor Center is a loop route that goes deep into the heart of the River of Grass, which can be explored by bike or tram, and the observation tower at the end offers a panoramic view of the wetlands; head south along the main road to reach the Flamingo area, where you can take a boat into the mangrove waterways; theTen Thousand Islands areaon the west side is crisscrossed with waterways and is suitable for boat tours. The park is very large, and the entrances are scattered and not connected to each other. During the dry season, the water level drops, and animals concentrate near the ponds, making them easier to observe. There are campgrounds in the park for visitors who want an in-depth experience.Monroe County · 88.4km from Miami

Miami South Beach stretches for several kilometers. Under the bright sunshine of Florida, the soft and white sand, the blue water, the colorful lounge chairs, the hot bikinis, and all kinds of seaside scenery can make you feel relaxed and happy. You can swim, surf, and dive in the clear waters, where seaweed and white coral are clearly visible in the waves. Or find a shade under a coconut tree and lie on a beach chair listening to the beat of the waves. In the evening, you will also be impressed by the magnificent sunset and the view of the city at the beginning of the lanterns. There are many restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops near the beach, and South Beach is also known as "Party Beach", and the night here is lively and colorful. The nearby commercial street is full of branded stores, boutique clothing stores and characteristic Cuban souvenir shops, all worth a visit.Miami Beach · 6.9km from Miami

Miami Beach

Miami Beach is a long, narrow barrier island lying between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, separated from Miami by the bay. Miles of fine white sand stretch along the east side of the island, with turquoise waters and swaying coconut palms. The hotels and restaurants lining the coast make this a popular beach resort destination in Florida. Miami Beach - South Beach at the southern end is the highlight: the uniquely shaped, pastel-colored lifeguard towers on the beach are incredibly photogenic and have long been the signature of this beach; on both sides of Ocean Drive, just one street away from the beach, are Art Deco buildings constructed in the first half of the 20th century. Their rounded, pink, mint green, and pale yellow facades, paired with neon signs that look like movie posters, make you feel as if you've stepped onto an old movie set. When you're tired of walking, you can head to the Lincoln Road pedestrian street and stroll among the open-air cafes and boutiques; if you want some peace and quiet, head to South Pointe Park at the southern tip of the island, where you can enjoy views of the Miami skyline across the water, and it's also an ideal spot to watch giant cruise ships slowly sail out of the port and wait for the sunset. The beach, neighborhoods, and parks are mostly within walking distance, perfect for playing in the water and strolling during the day, and watching the neon lights turn on at dusk.Miami Beach · 8km from Miami

Bayfront Park is located on theshores of Biscayne Bayin downtown Miami. It is bordered by Biscayne Boulevard to the west and opens directly onto the bay to the east, making it a rare, expansive waterfront green space in the city center. In the late 20th century, Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi led the overall redesign of the park. Today, the park's amphitheater, musical fountain, and landscape features still maintain a simple, modern style. Several monuments in the park are worth a special stop: the Challenger Memorial, a double-helix steel sculpture in the southwest corner, commemorates the crew of the 1986 Challenger space shuttle disaster; the Friendship Torch, erected in the northwest corner in 1960, is a symbol of the city welcoming visitors from Latin America and the Caribbean. The waterfront promenade stretching along the bay offers expansive views. While walking or jogging, you can see boats coming and going in the bay. At sunset, the view of the sun setting against the downtown skyline is a popular photo spot in the park. The north end of the park is adjacent to a waterfront shopping area, where an observation wheel, restaurants, and shops are gathered. It is also not far from the home arena of the Miami Heat, making it easy to combine a visit to the park, shopping, and watching a game. The amphitheater is the main venue for concerts in the park, and the park also hosts large city events, making it a great place to experience the urban vibe of Miami.Miami · 1.6km from downtown

PortMiami

PortMiami is located on Dodge Island in Biscayne Bay, across the water from downtown Miami. Known as the "Cruise Capital of the World," it consistently ranks among the top ports globally for cruise passenger volume and serves as a vital cargo gateway to the Americas. Many international cruise lines, including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, MSC Cruises, and Virgin Voyages, use it as a homeport, with routes primarily heading to popular destinations such as the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Mexico, andKey West. Super-liners like Royal Caribbean's "Icon of the Seas" make it their year-round home, and its dedicated Terminal A, nicknamed the "Miami Crown" for its unique geometric design, is a highly recognizable landmark in the port area. For most travelers, this is the place where Caribbean cruises begin. When boarding and departing, you'll see mega-ships docked side-by-side on one side, and the downtown skyline and bay views on the other, making it a perfect spot for photos. If you aren't taking a cruise, you can also head to Bayfront Park in the city center or the MacArthur Causeway area to watch the mega-ships sail out one after another at dusk, sounding their horns in salute—a classic local experience.Miami · 2.5km from downtown

Coconut Grove Farmer's Market

4.7/5
16 reviews
Coconut Grove Farmer's Market is located in the Coconut Grove neighborhood in southern Miami. This neighborhood took shape even before Miami was incorporated as a city and is a well-known historic area. The shopping district features boutique fashion stores, galleries, cafes, and international restaurants along its streets. Following a complete renovation, the open-air shopping center at the heart of the district now hosts brand stores and creative spaces, allowing you to stroll, shop, enjoy a coffee, or catch a movie, all within the shade of the tree-lined streets. The immediate impression here is one of relaxation: along streets shaded by banyan trees, many old buildings feature courtyard walls and railings built from coral stone, while outdoor seating is filled with guests enjoying coffee, continuing the bohemian vibe that has defined this area since the 19th century. The open space near Grand Avenue regularly hosts a long-running organic farmers' market, where local farmers bring fresh produce and handmade food. After sunset, the atmosphere shifts; this district is a local favorite, where students from nearby universities like to come for a drink and a chat after class, and residents often meet for dinner. The lights from restaurants and bars bring the streets to life again at night.Miami · 6.7km from downtown

The air in Little Havana is permeated with Cuban charm. In Domino Park, old men clatter dominoes, and the rich aroma of cigars fills the entire street. Vibrant murals adorn the walls, and Latin music wafts from open doors. A bite of a crispy fried pie, sweet guava sauce dripping onto your hand—it's passionate, boisterous, like a never-ending street party.

I didn't think much of it at first, but after visiting Little Havana and coming here, the contrast was astonishing. It's so beautiful, it's like a European castle recreated. The interior is classically elegant and full of historical significance. The garden outside is designed in a European style, with stone carvings, cascading fountains, lawns, and pine walls, all exuding aristocratic charm. This early 20th-century building is well-preserved, and many parts are still under renovation. It's definitely worth a visit.

The Port of Miami is a very famous cruise port in the United States. It is where many cruise passengers get on and off. The Port of Miami is also an important cargo port in the United States. The scenery of the entire port is very beautiful, the weather is good, and the sea water is particularly clear.

I didn't see much shopping, probably because I couldn't find the right things. I was starving, so I looked for a restaurant nearby. There was one in Peacock with a very nice ambiance. The food was okay, but the portions were small. After eating, I walked to the beach and was awestruck by the stunning scenery – it must be the Coconut Sailing Club's pier.
