The sculpture not only creates visual effects during the day due to its luster and reflection of the seascape, but also becomes particularly striking at night with the help of lighting. Arch of Galerius, locally known as Kamara, is a remarkable Roman monument in Thessaloniki, Greece. Built in the early 4th century AD, it was constructed to celebrate Emperor Galerius’ victory over the Persians. The arch once formed part of a grand imperial complex that included the nearby Rotunda.Although only part of the structure survives today, its detailed marble reliefs still tell powerful stories of ancient battles and Roman triumphs. Standing proudly in the city center, the Arch of Galerius remains a symbol of Thessaloniki’s rich history and cultural heritage.
