Dazong Lake is definitely worth a visit, although many shops are closed during the day and only gradually open in the afternoon. The scenery is quite nice, especially the reed marshes. You must take a boat into the lake; otherwise, you won't feel the mystery and adventure of being there from the outside. Behind the reed marshes, there's an old street (I can't remember the name), where you can find dried tofu (5 skewers for 10 yuan), which is delicious and healthy. Wontons are also 10 yuan, quite affordable. The shopkeepers have three large orange cats, which are a bit afraid of people. We walked from Dongjin Water City to Dazong Lake, circled around it, and returned to the Water City, which took about half a day. Those with good stamina can walk this route; the sightseeing bus only goes around the outer perimeter, so exploring on your own will allow you to see many different views along the way.
