We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kalemi 2 in Gjirokastër! The hotel itself is full of charm, beautifully combining traditional Albanian architecture with modern comfort. The breakfast was absolutely delicious — fresh, varied, and served with care in a lovely setting. A small tip for travelers arriving by car: Google Maps can sometimes make mistakes when guiding you to the hotel, so it’s best to double-check the route or contact the reception for directions — the staff are very friendly and always ready to help. Overall, a fantastic place to stay in Gjirokastër — cozy, authentic, and with great hospitality!

Lovely small family run hotel, nicely situated in the old town but way from the noisy crowded streets. The room was large enough for two with a spacious bathroom. Everything was new and very clean. Breakfast was supplied, though on the room description, it stated no breakfast. Moreover, the breakfast was very good and was brought to our table, a very nice touch with freshly made breads and omelettes. The family run hotel really took care of us from early check-in to providing information and made sure we got on the local bus, which stopped outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend the Palroto hotel.

The restaurant was closed the first night and they changed our room from one big bed to 5 kids beds which was odd. The two tvs are pointless, no channels and doesn't allow Netflix or any streaming services. Staff was nice and the breakfast was great. They offer some fun outdoor activities also. I'd stay again but they should upgrade the TV's.

Very pleasant young team with good English in charge of reception and the breakfasts. Terrace with stunning views. Just on the edge of the old town - everywhere easy to walk to and friendly (but don’t go for the gastronomy) restaurants. A comfortable place to stay.

Very beautiful and peaceful situation. The staff and the owner were extremely kind and helpful. Their main priority is customer satisfaction. In a word: lovely. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Very calm hotel ideal for family holidays

We had a beautiful stay at Denis’s house. Exellent service from arrival to we left. Joni was a great guide showing us the way to the house and also helping us in the evening when we were lost. Gjirokaster was one of our favorite places in Albania❤️we also had a very good breakfast in the morning.

Everything is super! Very nice and pleasant host and host! Very delicious cooking! They had dinner more delicious than the bottom of the restaurant, so bold you can stay there, and also with the best view to the city! In the room everything is perfectly new, beautiful. I only had a pillow high, but it's individual. The main thing, when you get to the hotel upstairs, make the right choice of the right turn. There is a pointer. Search it. We looked at it and drove into a deadlock. The local passer had to save us 😅 we were on the big car Kia Sorento. This slightly added difficulties due to narrow visible streets, but in general it is possible to drive. The young guys met us, parked right at the entrance and helped with the suitcases. Thank you!
