The hotel has great location, which is located within 2-3 blocks from the old town gate, so most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance. We were given a room facing the old town, had a great view of the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac Hotel.
The hotel decorations and furniture are little outdated.

The room was big, but there were stains on counters and the floors, the lights in the bathroom were actually coming out of the wall, and the shower had multiple faucets at different levels for no apparent reason. The hallways once you left the lobby smelt very musty and bad. Overall very weird atmosphere but the location was great.
We had a wonderful stay at QUALITY INN—perfect for families with kids! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Our children loved the clean and well-maintained warm pool especially after a long day walk in Old Quebec. The breakfast buffet had a great variety and was a great way to start each day. The staff are really nice and the guest laundry room are helpful to have clean clothes after our family trip. Highly recommended for a relaxing family getaway.
I would highly recommend this hotel, very classic, European style hotel, decent breakfast and a little gym that can get your whole body workout done. The room is very spacious and classic. Very friendly staff and I would definitely stay there again if I am in Montreal next time...
Give the river view room on the upper floor, the view is good.
The room is fully equipped and the bed is very good. It should be a university next to it, and there are many students staying on weekends.
There is free parking, you can drive in and out of the parking lot and swipe your room card. After you check out on the last day, you will leave a room card. After swiping the card out of the parking lot, you can put the card in a box of the road gate.
I was visiting for a training session and enjoyed my stay.
Beautiful hotel! Well located near Montreal. The room was spacious with all the amenities (I lacked nothing and there was even a dinette area and a desk with a computer). The included breakfast was very convenient. The room was cleaned daily with new towels. Private parking secured by a barrier.
Only a small downside: It all depends on your neighbors, but it can be a bit noisy.
The room was comfortable and clean. It was in the city center and close to everything. We walked to the Old Port, where there were many restaurants and small gift shops. We also walked to McGill University and watched the church light show. There is a subway, and we also experienced the subway. The places where we wanted to exercise were not far away on foot. The hotel's breakfast was quite rich.

This is an old hotel founded in 1967. The facilities are old, but it is clean and the rooms are large. The room rate is reasonable. There is free breakfast. The freshly baked croissants are delicious. The front desk service is good and there is free luggage storage. The hotel is in a good location. The Hyatt Hotel is nearby. It is easy to find. It is very close to Saint-Catherine Street on Rainbow Road. Walk along Catherine Street to Saint-Laurent Street, turn left and go straight for about 15 minutes to reach Chinatown. In addition to Qiangji Cantonese Restaurant and Linzaiji Roasted Meat Shop in Chinatown, some other restaurants not only have bad food, but also Chinese waiters have poor service attitudes towards Chinese people and force tips. The bad ones include pickled fish + Yifang milk tea comprehensive store, Weishiji, etc. The hotel is about half an hour's walk to the Old Port of Montreal. At night, you can see the Old Port Ferris wheel lit in front of the hotel. Just walk in this direction.
Very nice hotel! The service was great and the employees we encountered provided excellent service. The cleaning of the room seemed to have been done very quickly, but did not prevent us from sleeping in the room. Unfortunately, the soundproofing of the room was poor... people arrived around 3 a.m. and got up around 7 a.m. without worrying about others (I understand that some people's lack of civility is not the fault of the establishment). Very good nonetheless!

A classic every time we travel to Montreal. The best accommodation in terms of quality/price. From the convenient location to the spotless and comfortable room we like everything at this hotel. Big thumbs up for the complimentary breakfast with a lot of choices and the huge bed. We could sleep like babies and get rid of our jetlag. See you next time!

GGuest UserI’ve been coming to Hotel Zero 1 for a few years, being the only hotel I book in Montreal due to its impeccable walkability. That being said, it’s unfortunate that it’s no longer shiny and new, you can really see the wear and tear over the years. If you want luxury you’re not going to find it here; however, it’s still a great place to stay for the action packed traveller who wants somewhere a bit nicer than a motel to stay. I booked knowing full well it wasn’t going to be the most amazing stay but it was not as bad as some of the Google reviews make it out to be- it’s just dated. The room was clean, check in and check out was easy, and even though the valet service is closed, the parkade they directed us to was safe and straightforward. I’d categorize this hotel as 3 stars as the amenities aren’t that great, but just know what you’re walking into, manage your expectations to that, and you will have a great stay.
It’s just kind of a shame to see a hotel that I have great memories in not keep up with maintaining the property. If they repaired the fabric on the bed, replaced the shower heads and updated with smart TVs, that would make a world of difference.
TLDR;
Pros: clean linens, cable tv, microwave and fridge in the room
Cons: dated technology, broken Roku, only one elevator for the whole building, no on site parking.
GGuest UserKeeping in mind this is a hostel, the experience was overall positive. Very close to Berry Metro station and to a pretty lively neighborhood, but still quiet at night if one is looking for a calm and chill environment. No bed bugs signs, which I think its the priority. A relevant con is the pretty poor cleaning of the bathroom in the shared rooms, which should be improved. Common areas are not very big, very enough for everyone to use and enjoy at their discretion.
GGuest UserThe room was spacious, comfortable and clean. With regards to the staff, they were helpful and provided what I needed. The only issue I had was that adjusting the temperature of the water in the shower was troublesome, it was either too hot or too cold.
GGuest UserTravelodge Montreal Centre is ideally located, close to many interesting neighborhoods. The room is spacious and clean. The included Continental Breakfast is a great way to get started in the morning. The optional underground parking is convenient. Travelodge offers excellent value and a great stay experience!
MMarley KThis hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate.
I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
LLittleMoonMoonGreat hotel with super affordable prices. They provide free breakfast, welcoming drinks and apples! What a surprise! The room is big, with comfy bed, desk, sofa…everything you need. With free parking lot as well. Better than the 4-star Hilton hotel nearby lol
SSwaggyzhuThis hotel offers great value for money. The room rate is reasonable, the facilities are complete, and the environment is clean and comfortable. The bed is a bit small, a bit cramped for two people. The front desk service is very enthusiastic, and the check-in process is very efficient. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the old town, and the breakfast selection is rich and of good quality.
GGuest UserDear Le Dauphin Hotel,
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful stay I had at your establishment. The warm welcome, the impeccable service and the quality facilities far exceeded my expectations. My stay was most enjoyable, and I would like to thank the whole team for their professionalism and kindness. I will not hesitate to recommend your hotel to my relatives and I hope to have the opportunity to return soon.
Cordially,
Godfrey
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is really very convenient. First of all, it is in the city center, there is a bus stop downstairs, and there is a subway station about eight minutes away, which is very convenient to go anywhere.
Secondly, the room is very clean and comfortable, equipped with a full kitchen, which is convenient for breakfast or buying some drinks in the refrigerator.
There is an IGA supermarket a few minutes away, and there is also a Carrefour in Chinatown, which is very convenient for buying daily necessities.
It is a five or six minute walk from Chinatown, which can well satisfy the Chinese stomach during travel.
In short, it is recommended
