Ibis Styles Luzern City

Here are a few points of feedback: Friendly Staff: The staff were generally friendly and polite. When I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time, the staff provided space for storing my luggage. Comfortable Accommodations: The room I stayed in was generally comfortable and clean, providing a decent level of comfort during my stay. However, there were a few minor maintenance issues that could be addressed, such as the brightness of the light. Also, the spray at the toilet did not function properly. The dining options at the hotel were satisfactory. While the meals I had were tasty, I felt that there could have been a bit more variety in the menu offerings, especially for guests staying for an extended period.
Galaxy Apartments Lucerne

We stayed at Galaxy Apartment - or I should say one of the Galaxy apartments for a couple of days. With three people, the falt was a little bit packed to be honest. The bathroom is very small. One of the things which disturbed me the most was the noise at night. People seem to come and go whenever they like and make a lot of noise (scream/shout) in the stairway. I don't like to be woken up at 2am during my vacation. While having TV is not that important, let's note that it was totally impossible to watch any program for more than 5 minutes, because the connection would break down. Additionally, the recent heatwave makes the flat quite hot and stuffy. We had to leave windows open during the night. That was probably for the best because trying to close the shutters was yielding such a noise. I thought they would break. Fortunately, the street was very quiet. Finally, they should provide more information regarding the parking. I think this is quite the minimum. We were really struggling to understand how to get the daily ticket.
Altstadt Hotel Krone Luzern

We stayed for two nights during our honeymoon trip and this was one of the most enjoyable hotels we stayed at in Switzerland. The location is perfect, quiet quaint street in walking distance to everything you want to see in downtown Lucerne. We had the top floor room which had a wonderful rooftop balcony with a great view of Lucern. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the breakfast spread was wonderful. We loved to sit by the window at breakfast and enjoy the view and there was hardly anyone there when breakfast started. The only hiccup was that the steam from a hot shower apparently set the fire alarms for the entire hotel off two mornings in a row. The second morning we were extra careful to circulate air and turn the heat down but it still happened. The staff seemed surprised so they will probably address this. One suggestion would be to have an electric kettle and mugs for tea/instant coffee/cocoa in the room or at least available upon request.
The Lubo - Self Check-in

Centrally located in a quiet street in the city centre near the main train station ; stylish renovation of the hotel and functional kitchenette in the room I stayed (can you imagine there is a dish washer in the room ?😂and every day the housekeeper used it for our dirty dishes); laundry room on the first room and cozy cafe on the ground floor; reasonable price considering a Swiss standard; overall, excellent (input the confirmation number from trip.com and your name when you need to do the self check in at the entrance indoors; the door is closed and looks locked but actually you can open it 😂) ; will book it again when coming here in Luzern again ) 👍
Ibis Luzern Kriens

Friendly staff who gave recommendations during check-in. Hotel was a short walk and train ride to central Lucerne. There was no aircon in the room and a fan was provided. Weather was cool when we were there so not an issue. Mountain view from the room. Would stay again!
Holiday Inn Express Luzern - Neuenkirch

We arrived on the 20th of June - a family member also traveling with us booked this for us. The „not so friendly Lady on the reception did. her job - but nothing more than that - no smile no friendly word - she did nothing more than register and hand out the keys - like a robot. We had a room on the 2nd floor - while 30 degree Celsius outside, the hallway in the second floor probably had 35 in the room, I would guess, we had at least around 32 degree. Right away my wife went and organized a radiator (the „robot“ said that these should have been in the rooms already… no they weren‘t. When it cools down at 9:30 we tried to open the window - a sticker said: be careful…children… might be opened completely - no, they‘re not - went down again to the reception - nobody there - „robot“ probably went for inspection. „But when you call 930 we are right there for you!“ Did that right away - nobody picked up the phone - until the occupied tone appeared. Another try from the room‘s phone - same result, another try 5 minutes later same result. We had a though to sleep in the A/C Car but you can’t even use the room for charging your digital equipment - when you leave with the key, power is cut. When you’re leave without the key, no service desk available to let you back in after 9:00pm. We also payed a visit to the nearby restaurant. Not recommended to eat there - they open at 6:00am and when you go there at 8:00pm the salad bar seems to be there since 6:00am - quite some flies around - the other food presented wasn’t worth it - seem to be the “rest from today” menu. The coop super market is good, the playgrounds in the surroundings where pretty entertaining for the kids. Oh, almost forgot: when checking in, you get a 10% off voucher for Burger King in the neighbourhood! Wi-Fi is free at an acceptable transfer rate. Holiday Express: Thanks but NO thanks!
Hotel Alpina Luzern

I was really excited to start travelling after 2 years hiatus. I chose Switzerland as I had already made plans for the a 3 weeks trip in May 2020. I had to cancel it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I picked Alpina Hotel in Luzerne due to its great loation and affordability. It is near many eateries and other attractions. I booked 2 rooms; 338 and 339. We get to enjoy the street view and marvelled at the beautiful building opposite our rooms. I noticed that the opposite building was built in 1537 [ need to confirm this ]. The street was generally quiet except in the mornings when rubbish trucks cleared did their cleaning. The room has simple layout and mine has 2 sinks in the living area. The bed and pillows area are comfortable. The bathroom is small but all items worked well. I did not see any staff at Alpina as most of them were based at the nearby sister hotel, The Monopol, which is located about 20m away. Checking in was fast and easy and it was done at Monopol. I was grateful for all the guidance and assistance provided by the receptionist. Alpina hotel is located about 110m away from Luzerne Train Station and it was relatively easy to find. My room ; 339 is bigger than 338. All in all, I had a really great experience staying in this hotel.

Please consider all reviews from previous guests before booking this hotel. If there’s a -1 rating I would give it to this one. Hotels like this should just shut down and not be in this business. Bring your rude staff with you too. This is the worst hotel in the world! Upon arrival you would feel that you made the wrong decision. The hotel smelled so dirty and old. Who knows when was the last time they cleaned it. The people working there does not have a clue what they’re doing. They can’t find my reservation so they have to call the manager to find it. Bad customer service. I’ve had a couple of bad customer service experience but nothing compared to this one. The manager was VERY VERY RUDE!!! Every time you ask her help, her response is “I don’t know!!” like she doesn’t work there. She was not willing to help people who paid decent money to stay at this horrible place. The hotel amenities were horrible too but not as bad as the customer service. We stayed in the building not connected to their check-in lobby. The building was a place that filmmakers would use to create horror movies. The lobby at this building has no steady light. It was on a timer and would turn off after 5 mins. So when you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the shared bathrooms, you would find yourself unsafe to pass by the lobby since there were no lights. They have a washer and dryer which is great but no English instructions. When you call the receptionist for assistance, she would response in a discourteous way. Nobody in this hotel wants to help you. What they do is to take your money and leave you hanging. Please don’t ruin your trip to the beautiful country of Switzerland by staying at this awful place.
Ambassador Self Check-in Hotel

The room was clean and spacious and beds were decent. Breakfast is at Hotel de la Paix and has an excellent spread. Good choices available for vegetarians too. Location is great- walking distance to the station, lion monument and the Chapel bridge. Now coming to the not so great parts: 1) At the time of booking, I did not notice that the room has no air conditioning. Please check that before you book. Travelers from the US assume air conditioning is available everywhere. The room temperature was okay after left the window open (but that exposes you to the noise from the street below) 2) The bathroom exhaust did not work well. Not acceptable in my opinion. 3) The Hotel does not have anyone at the reception. The reception is at Hotel de la Paix which very close (apparantly the two hotels have a commmon management). This is a slight inconvenience

The room shown in pictures didn’t match what was offered on site. Very misleading. Took an hour of to and fro to be allocated a different room. The travel voucher never arrived by email, spent $$ on travel first day (shouldn’t have to) and got a travel voucher later after escalating to customer service. Breakfast was fine. It’s a nice property but a few niggles as above. Must show correct pictures for rooms on advert.
