All good at this hotel. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and helpful. Just the location was a little inconvenient for me. I had no car. About 30 to 40 minutes taxi from North Railway Station ( but all the hotels in town will be the same) and about a 45 minute walk to the ancient street. A pleasant walk though, by the river.

This place is incredibly close to both the Huangshan South Transfer Center and the Zhaixi Transfer Center, just a 200-meter walk. We arrived on a rainy day, and the owner kindly came to pick us up. They even provided raincoats and hiking poles for our Huangshan climb. We booked a duplex room, and aside from the skylight curtain not closing, everything else was perfect. The owner's hand-drawn maps for the up and down mountain routes were super helpful. We left at 6:30 AM, reached the cable car by 7:00 AM, and our entire route was incredibly smooth.

Seriously, everyone, if you're planning an early morning hike, promise me you'll only choose this hotel!
Let's start with the absolute best part: this hotel is *inside* the South Gate Transfer Center (the bus station you must use for hiking). Don't think it's just about saving a few hundred meters of walking distance. This transfer center locks up every night, and all other hikers have to queue outside. ONLY guests of this hotel can comfortably stand inside (at the very front of the line) before it opens to the public! You can watch other tourists who might have woken up at 4 AM run hundreds of meters just to circle around and get in line behind you. That's a huge advantage!!!
Amenities & Facilities: Smart room, mini-fridge, 2 bottles of water, comfortable mattress, clean environment, smart toilet, plenty of hot water, and fragrant toiletries.
Service: On the day of check-in, the hotel reception will call in advance to go over important information. They provide hiking essentials (walking sticks & maps) and will let you know the gate opening time the day before (you'll need to prepare breakfast like bread and milk beforehand, as you won't be able to go out and buy it once inside).
The price is right, the environment is great, the location is unbeatable, and it offers excellent value for money! This was the most satisfying part of my Huangshan trip!

This guesthouse is conveniently located right by the road, making parking a breeze. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and even offered a free room upgrade. The room was spotless. The owner was also very friendly and took the time to explain everything we needed to know for our trip to Huangshan the next day. The 'Lao Xu's Family-style Dishes' restaurant next door, which I'm not sure if it's affiliated, offered delicious food at a really affordable price. Great value for money!

The hotel is conveniently located, next to the pedestrian street. The room is clean and tidy, and it has been upgraded to a river view room. There is a Kawanka milk tea shop downstairs of the hotel. It is nice to go shopping at Daobaoshi Pedestrian Street in the evening!

We had to drag our luggages from the main road through the old street to the B&B without any help offered by the staff. And after check out, we had to ask for the staff to use a small trolley to help move our luggages to the main road, which demonstrated a lack of initiative from the staff in providing good service.
Did not feel particularly warmly welcomed by the staff.
Location-wise, it is good as it is right in the middle of the old street, very near to the river street and Laiyang old street.
Breakfast was also so-so only. When I asked for fried egg, I was plainly told head boiled eggs are available.

Breakfast is a wide varietied local style.
My repeat stay which I paid for a higher grade room. Definitely worth the extra little money.
For the TV and in room wifi, you have to turn on the TV switch by the bedside before you can use either. No complimentary tea bags or coffee sachets.

We were a group of 8 people and had an unforgettable stay here. The hotel owner is one of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly, gave us great local recommendations, and even personally drove us to each destination!
On the day we went hiking in the mountains, he provided us with free walking sticks. He helped us with everything — arranging transfers, buying entrance tickets, and planning the route. He also allowed us to check in early and check out late, which was incredibly convenient.
I shared room 8303 with my friend. The room is designed for two people and had two separate beds, both very comfortable to sleep in. There was also an air conditioner in the room, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Another thing we’re super grateful for — the owner kindly let us do laundry. After hiking in the mountains, our clothes definitely needed it!
The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, full of natural light, and have plenty of power outlets. The showers were great, with clean water and convenient showerheads. There were all the necessary toiletries: body soap, shampoo — we recommend bringing your own conditioner if needed.
The hotel can also prepare food for guests. We really enjoyed the tomato and egg noodles — delicious and homey.
There’s also a local café nearby where we had breakfast a few times.
The hotel is located in the mountains, perfectly positioned for visiting nearby attractions, waterfalls, hiking spots, and even riding quad bikes.
A tip: bring a good quality raincoat if you’re visiting during rainy weather!

AAnonymous UserI was attracted by the pictures, but I was a little disappointed by this homestay in the ancient town. After all, you can stay in a very good hotel in Wuhu at this price.
Let's talk about the general environment of the ancient town first. It is said that tickets are charged on holidays. Few shops are open at night, and there are few people in the morning. It is said that there are performances, but there is nothing suitable for children after looking at the program list. Many shops are closed, and the streets with closed doors can also show that they were once prosperous. It should be good.
Let's talk about the hotel. The room area is OK and the environment is generally good, but my child is afraid of the slide and thinks it is too steep. I tried it myself and it was true, so I lost one of the fun of booking this room.
The breakfast is really incomparable to star hotels. It is matched by the owner himself.
I saw the reviews before that the small animals that can be fed were only empty cages. There was a cat. The baby could only play with the cat for a while. On the way to the room, I had to pass the cat house. The smell almost made me faint.
There are also advantages. In terms of service, the boss contacted in advance. When I arrived, the boss went to the door to pick up the tickets in person. There were several times in the middle when the remote control and bed sheets were replaced. The boss solved it quickly. The owner of the B&B is indeed very responsive to the guests' service and has a very good attitude. The air conditioning in the room is very powerful, the terrace is quite comfortable, and it feels good to sit on the terrace as the sun sets.
Overall, I gave it a score of four, and I hope it can be better. Or the price can be more affordable.

The owners are incredibly warm and attentive, from helping with luggage transfers to assisting with itinerary planning. The rooms are clean and spacious, with complete and new facilities. The wooden structure feels sturdy and soundproof, and some room types even come with a balcony offering fantastic views. The guesthouse's courtyard is large and elegant, and the common areas have a charming antique feel. It's conveniently located near the scenic area exit and major attractions, making it easy to get around while still being away from the hustle and bustle. Plus, there are adorable cats to keep you company. It's a truly comfortable and pleasant stay – a must-stay when visiting Hongcun!

GGuest UserWe stayed at this hotel for two nights and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The hotel was very quiet, spotlessly clean, and our room was super tidy. Every day there was tea waiting for us in the lobby along with small snacks, which was such a nice and thoughtful touch.
Breakfast really stood out – very different from most Chinese hotels we’ve stayed in. Everything was fresh, high quality, and clearly prepared with care. On top of that, breakfast time was flexible and adjusted to our plans, which we really appreciated.
The owner is truly exceptional. He drove us for free to the South Gate of Huangshan and helped us plan our itinerary in detail. Throughout our stay, he constantly checked on us, asked if we needed anything, and genuinely cared about our comfort.
On the day we were leaving, we couldn’t get a Didi for a longer trip to Jiangwan – no drivers were available. The owner immediately stepped in and called his brother, who drove us there for the same price as Didi, but in a much nicer and more comfortable car.
We were sick with a cold during our stay, and he was incredibly attentive. We had mentioned at the beginning that air conditioning makes our throat and sinuses worse, so he made sure the AC was off in the room. He even told his brother not to use AC in the car during our transfer – something you almost never experience.
Amazing owner, beautiful location, top-level cleanliness, and a rooftop view that’s absolutely perfect. We felt truly cared for from start to finish.
We loved this place and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse is spotless. The owner kindly upgraded our room, and having just opened last year, its facilities are even more comprehensive than a hotel's. We especially loved that it has a mahjong room, which was perfect for our family to unwind with a game after a tiring day of sightseeing. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive; he picked us up from the parking lot and even helped us plan our Huangshan itinerary. This was, without a doubt, the most comfortable guesthouse we've ever stayed in. I wish the owner a thriving business!

GGuest UserMy partner and I had the best experience at Floral Hotel. The owner/manager goes above and beyond to help, and speaks very good english. He helped us plan our trip to Huangshan in depth, and his route was perfect and worked well for our plans. Highly recommend staying here for non-mandarin speakers wanting to see the mountain.
The rooms are incredibly nice and clean, at such a reasonable price. The hotel restaurant is really good too and the atmosphere is very homely, with a cute cat.
The location is not too close to the mountain but this does not matter as the hotel arranges transfers to the train station, and the owner even personally drove us to the mountain bus stop. The part of the town where the hotel is located is also quite lovely and quiet.
Highly highly recommend staying here as a base for your trip to the magnificent Huangshan mountain.

GGuest UserAbsolute perfection of a stay. Where do I even begin. Amazing hosts took such great care of us. Never once did they complained. Crazy spread of breakfast that we could take food to climb huangshan. Host drove us back and forth from Tangkou as their accomds was a little out of the way. Gave us PERFECT itinerary for huangshan climb, ensuring that we wouldn't be too tired to enjoy the views. Bought longenzes for us when we were sick. And even upgraded our room for free. Gosh so many good things. Best hospitality and treated us like family. Couldn't ask for me. If I could give 10/5, I'd give it for them. Best ever trip.
And gosh. The food they cooked? Simply the best and we wished we ate their homecooked food for every night we stayed! And cute cats to keep us company every time we were back.
