Booked a room for 2 nights, I left after 1 night. I couldn't tolerate another night of noise, thuds and bangs until gone midnight. One person was up slamming doors at 5.45am and a creche from 7.30am. All this was from one room on the floor above.
Brilliant place to stay, friendly staff, lush room, comfy bed, nice shower, decided to stay in and eat dinner at restaurant, rather than go out and food was fantastic, had an all American burger with skin on fires and honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time, would definitely stay again, can’t recommend enough!!
Great hotel tucked away just perfect for a get away. Just such a lovely set up and the room we had was such a nice size. Will definitely be back. Thank you

In a great spot just outside Watford's vibrant town centre, you'll be well placed for attractions like Warner Brothers Studios, as well as business and leisure destinations in central London. Plan a magical family adventure to Warner Brothers Studios for the Harry Potter tour. Hunt for the latest looks at Intu Watford shopping centre. Or discover the historic heart of nearby St Albans. Then unwind with a tasty meal in our restaurant, and relax in your spacious room and huge, comfy bed.
We stayed one night after attending the venue for a wedding reception. Our room was perfect; a good size and very clean. The en suite was spot on with soft white bath sheets and the soap was divine! Hairdryer, kettle and even an iron was in the room so couldn’t ask for more.
Breakfast was a buffet and of great quality and plentiful. Everything was cooked to perfection.
The grounds are gorgeous and we even found the fountain featured in one of the Harry Potter movies!!
Spacious room Upstairs on holiday inn The two hotels share elevators, parking lots, etc. You can cook your own food. There are several large supermarkets within a ten-minute walk around. It is convenient to buy food and come back to cook. The extra bed in the triple room was uncomfortable. The train station is 200 meters away, and the shuttle bus to the Harry Potter studio is sitting there.
The room was beyond expectations and the host was really friendly. There was a fluffy quilt, a new refrigerator, towels, everything.
The deep impression was that the warm water came out really well and the room was clean. It's the best location for those who go to Harry Potter studio!
I really recommend it. The bus to the station was right in front of it, so it was comfortable and it only takes 20 minutes on foot.
I had to go back after leaving my glasses, but they kindly guided me and helped me. Thank you.
To. Lovely host

DDave Hudson 1981It's a very cheap clean and excellent service throughout the night staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good value for money bedrooms are modern and stylish 10/10
MMiss SheffieldLovely clean hotel, friendly staff.
Bathroom a bit out dated but wasn’t spending my weekend in there so no issue.
Ask for a high floor as you hear everything when people walking upstairs.
Great location. Would I stop again- most definitely
OOllieSmithWe stayed for 6 nights over Easter. Arriving wasn't the best. Rooms weren't ready for the 3pm check in time so had to sit in the bar and wait. No offer of a free drink for the inconvenience either. Half hour later our room was ready. Then, even though advertised as having air-conditioning, the rooms dont. The room was hot but reception did provide a fan.
The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Especially Helen on reception who sorted our fan.
The rooms are dated and in desperate need of a refurbishment to get up to proper IHG standard. Paint was cracking on the walls and dints in the wall from where people had hit with suitcases etc. That being said, the beds were very comfy.
Breakfast was the best we've had at any HI Express hotel. Food always topped up, even when it was really busy. Good choice of food and nicely prepared.
Location is really handy for getting the train into London as the station is across the road and Euston is a 25 minute ride away.
When they finally refurbish the hotel it will be a great HI Express.
PPlayful+JoyfulThe hotel staff said that he couldnt find my booking although I provided my booking reference and voucher and request 15 pounds for Early check in and charged my account 51 pounds in total. Although I kept saying I booked via Trip.com and paid while I booked the hotel online. It was a prepaid booking. I am so disappointed that the hotel sent me the invoice & receipt on 14 March but I was told I would get the balance of receipt and I would be charged the early check in fee 15 pounds only, the accommodation fee after I checked out at 12pm on March 15. On March 15, when I was checking out, I checked with another staff who was on duty, he said the hotel didn’t charge my card, but the agency card, it was acceptable. Unfortunately, on my bank statement I found that the hotel charged my card for all. And it was really disappointed because they didnt really dealed with my questions and my situation. I did double pay for the accommodation to Trip. Com and the Primier Inn Richmanworth.
GGuest UserThe hotel itself is very dated and basic but absolutely fine for a night stay before or after a flight. Everything was just perfect for us. Cheap and cheerful for our budget. Staff were helpful and check in/ out easy. Ideal location for Stansted airport as it's literally 5 minutes away from the airport carparks. It's at a welcome break area so KFC, burger king and subway onsite.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and well presented . Check in was made more difficult as the screen did not work for both ourselves and others which meant waiting for a receptionist to man the desk. She was polite and efficient. The breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we paid for parking on a nearby street . This turned out to be cheeped than the multi story car park even when the discount was applied
Overall we were pleased with our two night stay in St Albans. This was the fourth forth hotel we stayed at and was certainly the best of the bunch
GGuest UserThe staff could not be more welcoming. I arrived the night before a work event and despite the bar being busy due to a football match, they helped get me settled into a clean a lovely room, with just enough facilities. The breakfast included in the price the following morning was exceptional and set me up for a great day! I will definitely be back and was even looking for things to do in the area as I'd love to take my wife to this lovely venue.
