We just back from a stay for 5 days in Ostan Lock Alton I have nothing bad to say about this hotel We got a great deal for 5 nights.Staff were absolutely great . I can't rem the names but they were all lovely Do rem Joanne serving us our breakfast.i went on about the wheaten bread how nice it was &she gave me a loaf of it leaving I was blown away with the kindness But All & All they were all lovely polite staff Food was 100% We would defo recommend a stay there Thank you for a pleasant stay Bríd &Michael

The location was great and we were able to park just outside the hotel. Our room had a big window and an interesting view over the River Eske. The bar and restaurant were very quiet in the evening (it was a wet and windy Monday) but we found a lively and friendly restaurant (The Harbour) within a short walk. The only criticism and (it’s very minor) was the lack of space in the en suite - no shelves for toiletries, no hooks for clothes, Staff were friendly, breakfast was substantial and we would go there again.

Impressive modern hotel - Easy to find - Lots of Parking - It had a lift - My room and accommodation was Fantastic - It had everything you could want. The bed was sumptuous - there was lots of hanging space - a desk area and a table and chairs - the bathroom and shower was really amazing . Great bar and restaurant - And really good value. I was really impressed and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Lovely hotel situated in the centre of Donegal Town, we spent one night here and wish we’d stayed longer. Our hotel room was ready for us before the approximate check in time, our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and we were close to plenty of pubs, shops and attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

The Gateway Lodge offers first class accommodation right on the doorstep of Donegal Town. The room is spacious with a huge and very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee are provided in your room. The breakfast is top quality with varied and excellent choices. The only downside is that there could be larger towels in the ensuite. We will definitely be back here in the future
