I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and the hotel is nothing about business and all about fun, meaning very very loud obnoxious music when one needs to work on the phone and concentrate on work. Had this been a pleasure trip, I would have rated this better but if you are in Ixtapa on business and read this, do not stay here as not only will you find it hard to work but the non-stop party atmosphere is anticlimactic. Cleanliness?? Hmmm so so… Again, if I were on holiday, maybe I would let pass things that I expect them to work when I am working. The area is just so beautiful all around that it helps the hotel to manage along.

Good apartment for holiday with baby. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Because it’s mainly all in and we were on self catering, we found it annoying that the bar/kitchen were not open at reasonable times. The biggest issue is the location. It’s across from stoney beach not good for sunbathing and is a good walk from the end of the pine walk. We felt it was too dangerous to walk with a buggy at night time as no lighting so always factored in the time for the walk to the port and better beach. The bus is right there at the entrance and was very easy to use. Spa was lovely.

Really nice spot, but a bit of a mixed bag as others have pointed out. Definitely opt for the European plan and not the all inclusive. If you seek and AI best to go next door Hotel is frequented by 99% locals so basic Spanish is helpful. Positives include the location and the rooms while a bit dated larger and very well maintained. Pricing is also good if you booked the room without a package. Upgrade from mountain view to ocean was 20 usd per night. Well worth it for the views and quiet. You will get loud noise from the pool though and events. Negatives include the lack of shade as the cabanas have replaced the thatch structures. Towel games heighten on weekends with the influx of the locals so we had to get assistance to even get a pair of lawn chairs as the multitude were “reserved” Ice has to be obtained from the bar which isn’t convenient as there are only 3 and they don’t open until 11. One only opens in the afternoon. Buffet was ok but well below selection wise what you would find at a Riu or Bahia for example. Would quickly get tedious. Noise is an issue. The pool music volumes are super high and the whistling from the aquatic leader is super annoying daily. All and all. Worth a visit but maybe not a return visit.

The most important thing for me on a holiday is to be on a beach where I can swim in the sea. I don't know how Zihuatanejo is not better known in the world, as in particular Playa La Ropa is one of the most stunning locations I have ever visited. The beach is perfect but it is how it is set in a bay with spectacular scenery all around that really makes it. This hotel is right on the beach, with a nice pool and beachside area and restaurant. One night we even had a huge turtle wander up and make a nest against the wall of the restaurant. For a reasonably-priced hotel, the rooms are spacious, with a large shower, and the beds are prefect for me as they appear to made of solid concrete. Some people have complained about the WiFi. I admit I lost connection occasionally but then it was possible to connect to what I assume it the WiFi for the conference part. In any case, this place is Paradise and it's nice to switch off from the outside world. Staff for the most part were pretty quiet but friendly when you spoke to them. This is very much a place where older Americans, younger couples without kids, and families come, and many of them seem to be regulars. Staff seem to be more friendly with them but that's only to be expected and when I got talking to some regulars, staff were a lot friendlier with me (not that they were unfriendly before). I have seen it said that this part of Zihuatanejo is quiet and that there are not many options for food etc. Firstly, the quiet part is a good thing for a relaxing holiday and there are other restaurants along the beach. Paty's next door is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with really friendly staff and all manner of water activities to book. The hotel restaurant however is amazing and the food some of the best I have ever had. One of the beef dishes with fried plantains was especially noteworthy.

The hotels sounded great on the add however upon arrival we were told that an accident happened in our room! They told ne that a cleaning person had accidentalky dropped a bottles of cloro on the floor. I was told it was going to get cleaned up. My wife if very sensitivo to strong smells so I asked if the case was that the smell was too much if I could get moved to another room. I was told that wasn't possible. I was told it wouldn't be smelly. When we go to our room, it didn't smell like clorox, I assume that the room was simply not ready. Being honest about that woukd have avoided issues. Also the room smelled like mold very badly. We requested a room change and I was told I needed to pay. It's supposed to be an all inclusive hotel and it's less than all inclusive other than the food. The amenities like bike ride, kayak, etc has an extra cost unless the reservation has been made via a timeshare. When making reservations for the bikes, the amount of miscommunication between reps was incredible. To the point that we missed the ride twice. It was just dumb. The hotel is very run down and needs maintenance. By far not the best for thw price. I will not be coming back ever. For an all inclusive hotel go somewhere truly all inclusive.
