Fast Hotel Svolvær
3.5/513 Reviews
My visit to Lofoten was solely because of the Northern Lights. As a solo traveler. a central location, inexpensive, safe, clean are the key factors i base on for the hotel search. Fast Hotel’s convenient location, self-check in, are superb. But during my stay, from check-in till the next morning, the entrance door to my room could not be locked at all and i had to go out without locking my room. Till the next morning a young male employee promised to help fixing it. He did. Was and am grateful to him. On the second night, i ended up not searching for northern light but the LIGHT - electricity broke down and internet connection was also down - from before midnight till 01:29. - and the hotel main entrance door, usually remains closed and is to be opened via pin code - now the sensor is not working (it is now 03:45, still not working), making my plan of going out to observe the northern light and coming back to the hotel not possible. Somehow, during the wee hours at the lobby i met someone who works nearby and stays at the same hotel, taught me how to manully open the faulty main entrance glass door (just use hands, with slight force, to manually slide open the glass doors to both sides. It didn’t require much force at all.) While technical hiccups can be rectified, here is my suggestion to the Hotel - please install a light for writing desk. The whole room has only two side table bed lights. No general light for the room at all (there are recessed ceiling lights but switches cannot be found). At the writing desk, a light sauce is a must-have. That said, i still like the hotel a lot because of its location and self-check in, completely without a Reception counter/area - that is wonderful. G reat is also he closeness to the bus terminal (not noisy at all) is pivotal as the buses (running infrequently in Lofoten) are the “lifeline” for those who visit Lofoten without a rented car. As a solo traveller, i will want to come back to this (and/or similar) Fast Hotel. i like it. It is like a trusted friend, sometimes not feeling well, but a friend is a friend.
Enjoy Lofoten Glamping
3.7/51 Reviews
My very first experience with glamping was memorable. The view was extraordinary, the room was big enough and we had almost everything we needed there. The bed was made from a special wood, that smelled like forest the entire stay. Notice that the bathroom is 50m away from the room. The few steps you have to do back to the room after shower/toilet can be freezing in case of cold or rainy weather. Some dish soap and a sponge to clean the cutlery would be great to have at the glamping.
Eliassen Rorbuer
4.5/576 Reviews
The Eliassen Rorbuer should be a mandatory stop for anyone who wants to experience the most fabulous lodging and views available in the Lofoten Islands. This hotel is constituted from an historic Norwegian fishing village, with individual and well-appointed cabins for guests, many of which cabins face out directly onto the spectacular harbor and towering mountains near the town of Reine. The cabin rooms are spacious and immaculate, with separate bedrooms and sitting rooms where you can luxuriate in the incredible scenery right outside your door. The village includes a top-flight restaurant (Gadus) with delicious included breakfasts as well as dinner if you so choose. The staff is warm and friendly, and there is even a washer-dryer right on premises for use by the hotel’s guests. Best of all, the location is perfect, within a short drive of truly amazing hikes like Reinebringen and Ryten Mountain/Kvalvika Beach. The hardest part of our whole trip to Norway was having to leave this very special place!
Scandic Bodø

Originally, I had to set up a nearby Radisson, but it was still cheap. I don’t know why the day’s Radisson was not booked, so I had no choice but to book this one. The price of nearly 1500, I don’t know how to say it, okay, the only satisfaction. Is the breakfast is not bad, such a high price place, can eat breakfast can earn back six or seven hundred dollars, the front desk is small, the service is law-abiding, the only dissatisfaction is that we were in the first floor renovation, a little uncomfortable, feeling Bodo doesn't have much choice. If I want to go again, I feel that Radisson is my first choice. The location is also a good feeling for Radisson. There is a Thai restaurant under this hotel. It is quite right. Don't be too expensive. This price is very good. All right
Fast Hotel Lofoten

Always call Ctrip to confirm the room number and check-in code before departure! I have already told Ctrip that this hotel has no staff, smart check-in! Still don't give it to me! Finally, I had to go to the front desk of the hotel to call and ask! Then the front desk of the hotel said that the password had actually been sent to me early in the morning! But Ctrip only gave a string of numbers! Said that you can get the room number and password on the machine! What a waste of my time and phone bills!
Sure Hotel by Best Western Harstad Narvik Airport

Received zero interest, engagement or assistance from staff to resolve a wrongful booking on my part, was told to just take my losses and pay up - again. The booking was done from the hotel website, which was so bug-ridden and unstable that I managed to make the booking a day early. Upon being brushed off at the reception, I invested 45 minutes in trying to book at ANY other hotel nearby, I would happily have driven 30 minutes and paid double price to avoid this hotel. Unfortunately, there are very few hotels nearby, and the ones I tried were fully booked. So, I ended up paying for 2 nights and stayed 1 night. The rooms are cramped and not very functional. No electrical outlets where you need them, no place to place or hang toiletries, a tiny desk that is bolted to the wall, two single beds that cannot be moved in any direction. Great view from the parking area into the room/bed. The breakfast was depressing. Cramped buffet section, only one (1) industrial type pre-cut bread, no boiled eggs, gelatinous oven-heated, pre-made ”fried” eggs. One TINY, measured and cut piece of bacon on top of each egg. You know the ones. A few small sausages in a bowl beside what looked like a completely solidified pot of baked beans. Despite being almost empty, I was chased from the room at 12.01 because it was ”CHECK OUT AT TWELVE !!!”. Loud knock on the door, and a grudgy employee. I did not see any cleaning staff, or any other reason why it was of so utmost importance that I get my *ss out of there ASAP. Stay away if at all possible, I know that I will.
Marina Hotel Lofoten
3.8/512 Reviews
The hotel with self-checking (code comes by SMS, has worked well) is simple but functional - our room had a shower area where the toilet was standing, something habitual, but it was clean and OK. A large refrigerator combination in the room was also included with equipment ... Without air conditioning it will be warm in the not very large rooms quickly, but for us it was still OK. The hotel is located just a little away from the port centre (a private marina is nearby, so probably the name). Breakfast was surprisingly good and selective - for the rather high price level also on the lofoten is the hotel a perfect option. The wooden terrace in front of the hotel is a feature for your own picknicks, there are also two kitchens available for use.
Mo Gjestegård

We stayed one nigth here, on our way to Trondheim. Very nice room, clean and quiet. The breakfast offers what you need. And the service is nice. A little bit anoying with all the telephonecalls from the management in the evening. The reseption was not employed at our arrival. And we went out for dinner....and then they wanted us to show up and pay for the stay. It should not be a problem to do this with check out!
Å Rorbuer - by Classic Norway Hotels
4.3/514 Reviews
I stayed in this hotel during a single trip and I must say that it fascinated me for the colors, the atmosphere and the landscape. The hotel has a restaurant where I have eaten very well. For those traveling by car to the discovery of the Lofoten Island, it is easy to find a parking place. The only point, and on this I would advise to fix, is that, at least in the room where I sleeped (at the first floor of the building where there is also a restaurant, faced on the inside) the tent was too ”light”. to contain the light of the ”no night” of the northern summer ... so it was not easy to sleep. For the rest of the very kind personal and atmosphere that recompenses every possible effort, moreover, as said, in the restaurant where I appreciated the quality of the prepared meals. If I had to advise a friend I would certainly do it.
Svinøya Rorbuer

Fantastic Rorbuer. We booked a real house with 2 rooms and all facilities. As it is in the other side of the bridge, market is a 20 minutes walk so is better take your food with you as there is only the Rorbuer restaurant that cost an average of Euro 40 a dish. You can walk on the island for a while to go to the statue Fiskerkona que protege os pescadores e fica na ponta da ilha. The buildings are pretty and the nature from there superb. You have to walk to the port in central city as there is no public bus there so if you can is better to have a car. The reception close at 16:00 in winter but you can pick up your house or cabin keys in the mail box at the entrance. Staff is helpful and kind. Great place to stay a couple of days.
