The hotel was quite clean, there was no elevator, and two large boxes were on the second floor. Like an upgraded version of the motel, but the room is very comfortable, the bed is big, the quilt is very soft and comfortable!

Quick check in and there is a shuttle to and from the airport. Location is near the airport and rental car locations. The beds were nice. The bathroom was a little dated, but still good for the money.

The environment and service are good. It was when I called the shuttle at the airport, because the language was not available, the front desk was a bit impatient, and everything else was very good. Location, environment, breakfast are good. 24 hours hot water in the lobby, coffee, drinks, and fruit. Bring breakfast. There is a luggage cart. Check out will ask if you need a free shuttle bus. Overall, the price is high near the airport. There are restaurants such as McDonald's nearby.

Don’t let the pictures online fool you! My stay here did not live up to expectations or my past stays at other Staybridge hotels (or other IHG hotels in other cities around the world, for that matter). However, my stay was not all negative, so let me focus on the positives first. Let me note that while I stayed here for one night while in the process of moving to a new city, I did not have the breakfast here, nor did I use the hotel’s amenities, so this review will skip those parts of the stay. The hotel’s location is very convenient, located just off I-94 which provides easy access to DTW as needed. It is also located to a lot of nearby restaurants and stores, although a bit of a drive from the University of Michigan if you are here for the university. The lobby provides a cheery, refreshing welcome upon entering, and the front desk staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are also pretty spacious, no surprise given this is a hotel composed of suites. The bed is also very comfortable and I received a good night sleep. But that’s pretty much where it all ends positivity wise… Despite the room being spacious, it seems as if housekeeping does not do their job as the room was very dirty upon entering. There were also stains on the walls and there were even blood stains in certain areas of the washroom. Absolutely disgusting, and especially unacceptable especially during pandemic times! The shower was also below average and water pressure was quite weak. If I had to describe what the shower experience was like at this hotel, it was almost as if the water was trickling. Seriously. It seems as if there are a numerous amount of hotels in close proximity to this one. I would most certainly look at those other options, because other people are pointing out the same flaws as me online. 2 stars seems just right for me given that there were some positives about my stay here.

We chose to be a Hilton Honors as we travel a lot, we booked a room inclusive of breakfast, upon checking in, we were not welcome as a member and breakfast was not discussed, we asked where the breakfast gonna be served, we directed to the location, in the next day we are ready to take breakfast, the staff in the restaurant seems confused, I mentioned that I booked a room with breakfast included, staff told us to go back to the reception to get a voucher, receptionist told me that they do not sell a room with breakfast included, she liked to argue thinking that I am telling a lie so I presented the booking confirmation and mentioned that I booked through Hilton website, so finally she gave me a voucher for 2 adults so I said how about my 2 kids are they not gonna eat?! In the website kids under 5 is free breakfast, then again she argued with me. I felt like im not staying in hilton brand hotel. My point is, this is not my problem that's the company problem, the website is not telling the right information, the hotel is under renovation, their main dining restaurant is a la Carte service not a buffet etc. Staffs are not pleasant, rude, reception staffs are not warm and welcome not supposed to work in the front. Valet people is not too bad, no complain. Hotel is currently renovating that's why it's clean but I don't recommend this hotel. Expensive room rate with breakfast inclusive if you just gonna get a la carte service with just 2 eggs and hard sausage. So no, not to this hotel, I'm not coming back.

On the last night of Detroit's trip, I thought about setting up a hotel that Americans like to live in. I saw this online comment. The hotel is located a quarter of an hour away from the car rental and close to the airport. The hotel room was very clean, clean and comfortable, and the decoration was relatively new. The hallway was filled with pictures of Ford cars, which was very American. An American restaurant downstairs is also good. In the evening, there is a beer to eat with coloring and grilled fish and chips. The family is happy. Next time consider considering the choice again. Free parking🅿️

The night staff was absolutely amazing. Coming in with a team of young men for a regatta. Not realizing there was not much of a lobby for guests to bring in food to sit and feed 20 hungry boys. Amli and his team where super helpful and it was very much appreciate. Kindness and professionalism was all night from check in to the bar attendant. Our room was clean and no issues. Same as the hallways- we are grateful.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I'm going to write a review on every platform and the BBB about this place because I can't believe this happened. My boyfriend booked a night as just a getaway and it turned out horrible. We spent all of 1 hour in this ”hotel” altogether. This place falsely advertised clean, modern rooms but, what you really get is a cell fit for an inmate with a lot of connections. The floors were concrete and the room was filthy. In the first room we were put in they tried to hide a HUGE BLOOD STAIN filled with hair between the sheets and the mattress. The tub also had a ring around it. I was so shocked I didn't think to document it in the first room at the time and really wish I had. The staff was accommodating at first as they should be and we received another room next door to the old room and the same thing. It appeared to be fine but, upon inspection the shower and sink filled each time we used them. I took a shower and looked up at the ceiling covered with black mold. We ultimately decided to leave mid-stay at 4 a.m. because we didn't feel comfortable staying there in a filthy, moldy room for $300. We talked to the front desk for a refund and they took our number and told us management would contact us. We never received that call and decided to call ourselves they're currently giving us the runaround not trying to refund us and being very combative. JUST AVOID THIS RENOVATED HOMELESS SHELTER ALTOGETHER!!! AND KEEP YOUR MONEY FROM THIS SCAM MOTEL 6

I this was a business trip and it is one of go to hotels because it has a pool which is heated to a reasonable temperature. Very nice hotel, good breakfast. People very friendly. Front desk efficient and attentive. I find the staff very accommodating.

I had nothing but problems with this hotel. I was only staying there for work and my job was paying for it. The first time I stayed there about a month ago, they told me they needed my credit card to hold a deposit. I was then charged for the room instead of a pending hold. I’m still going back and forth with their accounting department to try to get that charge taken off. When I stayed there the first time, they were also supposed to have a meeting room set up for me the next day. When I went to the front desk they had no idea what I needed. I showed them the contract my boss sent me and they took 30 minutes to scramble up a room last minute. I had to start my meeting late because of the hotel forgetting to set up the room. The second time I stayed, last night, when I go to check in they tell me there is no card on file and I have to pay for the room! I told them that’s incorrect and called my boss. The woman at the front desk called her boss too and told me it was settled but I needed to put my card down for the deposit. I told her last time they charged me for the room, she promised me that would not happen again. Now today, I check my statements and I have a pending charge for $100, the deposit, and a random $35 charge that I have NO idea what for! I’ll call tomorrow to try to get it settled but I just can’t believe the issues I’ve had with this hotel. I travel a LOT with this company and have NEVER had issues like this before!

We had a brief stay here, overnight before a morning flight. Our family of 4 (including 2 teen boys, 17 and 19) got a suite with 2 queens and a pull out couch. My older son slept on the couch not pulled out and was comfortable. The queen beds were also comfortable. The room was very clean. Shower and toilet areas are separate…feel like closets, but we had no issue with that. Staff we encountered (front desk) were friendly and helpful…shuttle was easily scheduled. Shuttle was a bit late (10 minutes) in the morning but we had allowed for plenty of time to get to the airport so it was not a problem. The driver was very friendly and helpful, and we understood, as everyone is short staffed these days…he was likely pulling double duty. Front desk staff was in communication with him as well, so we knew he was on his way and were not stressed. Breakfast was adequate. Pre-packaged egg cup was surprisingly decent. I had that with some warm oatmeal and was set for the morning. We did not have time to use the pool or exercise room but they were available. We had a very smooth, quiet, brief stay and would stay here again. It served our needs well.

Wonderful hospitality in hotel and IHOP/Applebee's restaurant. Clean room with microwave, fridge, desk and good WiFi. Skyway walkway to the Renaissance Center and Renaissance Marriott. No winter coat needed. No complaints here! Nice sofa with convenient food tray table. Lots of mini shampoo and shower gel thingies in the bathroom! Intuitive design. Definitely a good hotel for business travel.

The furniture was badly scratched and damaged. The carpet was nearly worn out. The desk chair fabric was worn, and even the trashcans were rusted inside. Overall, the room needed to be remodeled. My room was cleaned once after the first day of a five-day stay. The cleaning staff didn't come until 2:30-3 pm on days three and four. I attended training classes and events between 9 am and 2 pm. I will probably not book a room at a Wyndham Hotel again. I should have taken photos.

Therefore, I am resubmitting this review for the intended establishment: HOLIDAY INN DETROIT METRO. AIRPORT SHUTTLE EXPERIENCE: Several guests including myself arrived the same time via hotel airport shuttle. Shuttle driver was very polite, courteous and respectful. However, upon arrival at hotel, no one (staff) was present at the front desk and/or lobby area. We waited for approximately 10 minutes before a staff appeared from back office. With a very solemn/cold facial demeanor we were individually checked in. No welcoming remarks, etc. It was an overnight stay for me since I was connecting flight to Japan the following day - London/Detroit/Japan intinerary. RESTAURANT - FOOD SERVICE & FRONT DESK EXPERIENCE (Morning of following day) Basic western breakfast (limited selections). Restaurant staff was rather abrupt and rude by advising me that I must pay her a “gratuity” fee since my breakfast was complimentary (As an option, IHG Diamond status guests receives complimentary breakfast). I was rather uncomfortable with this encounter. I immediately brought this issue to the front desk staff about the gratuity issue. Unfortunately, she bluntly told me that it was “NOT HER CONCERN” and that any gratuity issue/concern was with the restaurant and not the hotel’s. From my observation/assessment of her demeanor, tone of voice and body language, she basically conveyed an “I DON’T CARE” indifferent attitude. As an IHG Diamond status customer, I expected a higher quality of customer service experience based on the highly commendable reviews posted in the IHG Review website. Unfortunately, it was an extremely “SUB-STANDARD” experience to me. Personally, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL even for an overnight stopover. The treatment I have received was so degrading/humiliating compared to the highly commendable excellent customer service experience I have received from other IHG hotel establishments. Overall, I have perceived that the staff I have interacted with were extremely INDIFFERENT and very deficient in providing proper customer service. Further, it was also unfortunate that my candid review (similar to this review) was never posted by IHG after my submittal within a timely manner.

My recent stay at the Somerset Inn was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The people I interacted with throughout my week-long stay are all courteous and accommodating, from the front desk to the restaurant. My room was in a convenient location, it was clean, and the bed and seating very comfortable. Meals in the restaurant were wonderful...in the morning it is so relaxing to sit at a table and have coffee and a lovely (full) breakfast. The manager, Duane, went out of his way to introduce himself to me and ensure that I was enjoying my stay. I will absolutely stay here when I am in Troy/Detroit area for business next!

The hotel is incredibly clean all over, but I have to give a shout out to two employees that impacted my stay. I witnessed Kim de-escalate a situation with a guest in such a professional manner that it should be applauded. After operating our company business out of their meeting room, I encountered a man willing to work the night shift. His name is Raymone, he had kind eyes and a level of hospitality that should be recognized. The rooms are of good size, the beds are comfortable, and the overall experience at this hotel should be acknowledged. Thank you guys. Keep up the good work.

I love this hotel! We get the room with 2 tvs and it works Great! It keeps the peace, lol. Also the kitchen is awesome! The decor and patio too is awesome and gorgeous! I'm curious how it would be during normal times but right now I'm lovin them. peaceful.

I had a poor experience at the Sheraton in Novi while staying with a family member to celebrate a belated Christmas as we weren't able to get together around Christmas proper. While I was upgraded to a room on the club lounge floor, the guest room I received was not clean by any definition of clean. There was hair on the desk and desk chair, hair on the toilet, hair under the toilet seat, hair on the wrapped bar of soap and soap dish, stains on the desk, and stains on the face tissue container. The single bathrobe hanging in the closet appeared to have been previously worn and didn't have a cincture. On my reservation I specifically requested only 100% feather pillows. My reservation also requested a bathrobe, slippers, extra pillows and extra towels. I didn't receive any of those things. The four pillows were four polyester down-alternative pillows. Those pillows are horrible. They always feel like someone stuffed cotton balls in a pillowcase. During check-in I noticed a sign at the front desk saying daily housekeeping is not provided, unless specially requested. The major cleanliness issues that I experienced are a direct result of what happens when hotels don't clean rooms and other spaces each and every day. I received zero Marriott Bonvoy elite status recognition. Specifically, I was not offered the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. I complained to the general manager, who to his credit acknowledged the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, fully apologized and took responsibility. To resolve the issue, he offered to comp my stay and ensure that the room was thoroughly cleaned while we were out of the room and off-property at a nearby shopping mall. He also apologized for the lack of Bonvoy recognition and provided the $100 cash compensation that is required by Marriott for not offering guest with platinum or higher Bonvoy status the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. When we returned, the room was properly cleaned. The pillows were replaced with feather pillows, although none of the feather pillows had pillow protectors or pillowcase liners. Two clean bathrobes and two pairs of slippers were placed in the closet. The general manager was also kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the room. My family member was really appreciative of that gesture. Despite the issues, the staff that I encountered throughout the stay were polite, welcoming and hospitable. That aside, there was zero excuse for the cleanliness issues or the lack of attention to what was specified on the reservation The club lounge was open with an average evening offering that included a selection of assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, fruit and some basic canapés. Besides free nonalcoholic drinks, an honor bar featured cheap house wine ($5 retail bottles of wine) selling for $5 a glass. The club lounge is a nice smaller space. We had our daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday Celebration at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy and stayed there with family members. The rooms were spacious and immaculate with microwave, fridge, Keurig, amenities etc.. everything that we needed. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and impressed our guests. The food was elegantly displayed and delicious and the Event staff were superb. Our guests were greeted and served the entire evening. Everyone felt special and couldn't stop talking about the event. Many of our guests said that they would love to host their next event there. To top off the evening, the hot tub was awesome! I would highly recommend this hotel for your next event as well as stay. If you love upscale living, this is the right hotel. The banquet room, bar area, lobby, sitting areas, are absolutely gorgeous!

Stayed for one night when I was transferred. The hotel has an airport shuttle bus. You need to call the front desk to pick up the phone and wait at the bus pick-up dock. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. As a transit hotel, the price is OK.

Hard to believe this musty old place carries the Wyndham name. I noticed a foul smell as I walked through the front door, and it didn't get any better. I am glad I saw the sign saying the water would be turned off for maintenance at 8 am the next morning. the room and bathroom were not as clean as expected. but it was late and after a canceled flight I was ready for a shower and some sleep. I made sure I went to the breakfast bar while they still had the water on. it was ok but the coffee near the lobby was luke warm. even after someone refilled it. they would not allow a late check out, so I found a place to hang out waiting to go back to the airport. how can a hotel stay open with no water?? after 4 hours of no water, you can imagine what was piled up in the restrooms off of the lobby. I took one look and decided to go to the airport, where they clean on a regular basis. Definitely avoid this place! and shame on Delta for having it on their voucher list.

I arrived late after flying into Detroit. After waiting 25 minutes for a shuttle, I took a taxi to the hotel. The bar and kitchen had just closed. No drinks were available in the small market off the lobby. My room was mostly clean. Both my room and public spaces in the hotel were (somewhat recently) renovated to one of the newer Sheraton design themes. The renovation was done cheaply. Basically, the bare minimum required to keep the Sheraton franchise. Some new wallpaper, carpets, and some new furniture. The decor they chose is ugly. Hideous shades of brown and taupe. My room still had an ancient iHome alarm clock/radio that hasn't worked for years as it's no longer compatible with new iPhone models. Some of the case goods in the room look unchanged from before the renovation. That side, the renovation is already starting to show its age. Some furniture was already scratched and showing wear-and-tear, carpet in the hallways had extensive stains, walls and door frames were scuffed, etc. It's sad to see such poor maintenance on a relatively new product. None of the usual Sheraton amenities were provided in the room. No vanity kit, mouthwash, slippers or a robe. No bottles of water. All I received was one bar of soap; big dispensers of soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash; a note pad; and one pen. Also, the dispensers were NOT tamper-proof. So, you probably want to bring your own shampoo, etc. Absolutely zero Bonvoy elite status recognition, unless you asked for something like a late check-out. Breakfast in the lobby bar/restaurant was off a limited menu. My eggs were actually quite good. The orange juice was sugary and tasted watered down. My coffee was refilled once -- that's it. No newspapers in the lobby or club lounge. All things considered, the Sheraton is an old 1970s or 1980s airport hotel that was probably one of the few full-service hotels at the airport back when it was built. Now, there are quite a few other hotels nearby, including the excellent Westin inside the airport terminal itself. If you can afford the rates at the Westin, there's no reason to stay at the Sheraton.

Environmental sanitation is OK, breakfast is ordering, there are not many options, airport bus is good, no tips for tipping, expensive, service is warmer than Wyndham, bed facing the window, not in line with Chinese feng shui, big bed, can be side sleep

All the necessary facilities are available, and they are also very clean, with large rooms and good air. The hotel staff are also very enthusiastic, and there are many types of restaurants. The hotel is very close to the airport and travel is more convenient. Overall a pretty good experience,
