Colibri Traditional Guest house

Good choice! We stayed two nights in the 12beds room. The room was nice and tidy, a.c. was working properly and everyone got a nice bed, with curtains to have some privacy. In the room there are two bathrooms, and both are clean and with functioning showers. There is wifi and you can chill in the courtyard, which is really nice and relaxing. The hostel is not too far from the center and you can reach the incredible Registan in 45 minutes walking. Bear in mind, in summer Samarkand is scorching hot, so it would be better to take a yandex or a bus, asking for Amir Temur. The starting point for the bus is very close to the hostel. We didn't try the breakfast, so we can't comment about that. The host is exceptionally clear and talkative, and can speak english at a really good level He was keen to help us, underlying the main itinerary in Samarkand and suggesting us a really nice restaurant close to the hostel. Really, the host really knows how to make his job. Now, two little notes, amongst all the positive things we mentioned, both notes are referred to the 12 beds room. There are no lockers in the room, but the host was willing to help us, keeping in his office our valuable stuff. He also mentioned that there are plans of adding Lockers soon. The room is very (very) close to the street, so at night you can hear noises from the car passing by. You can sleep quietly with earplugs, but it's something worth to mention. There are plugs to charge your phone close to the bed, and that's nice. All in all a good choice.
Khan Hotel Samarkand

hotel was perfectly located with walking distance to many tourist attractions. The rooms are also good with all amenities. The best part is owner and the entire staff are available round the clock to ensure that their guests are well taken care off. In my case, I lost my luggage during my trip from Bukhara to Samrkand. The owner and his staff went above n beyond and within hours had it delivered to me. Once again I take this moment to thank the entire staff for their efforts. if ever i get an opportunity to visit Samarkand in future, this place is definitely going to be my place to stay.
Gur Emir Palace
4.3/52 Reviews
Mixt Royal Palace

The facilities are old, so it can't be helped, but there were shops nearby where you can buy daily necessities and simple food, as well as places to eat, so there was no inconvenience. The owner responded to various requests seriously and quickly and was very helpful They also arranged a one-day taxi to Shahri Saabs for a reasonable price of $50 (the driver told me it was $80), so I was able to afford a little more. I enjoyed my stay in good Samarkand
Kosh Havuz Boutiqe Hotel
4.9/553 Reviews
I was a little skeptical about the actual quality of the Internet celebrity hotel at first, but from the moment I arrived, I felt that it made sense for it to be popular. The decoration is beautiful, the room is spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is rich, the staff is very friendly and the service is attentive. The location is also good, Registan Square and Bibi Khanum Mosque are within walking distance, and even Shay Zinda can be reached on foot. The only drawback is that the restaurant is relatively expensive and the taste is average.
Hotel Ishonch

The hotel is located very conveniently. On the one hand, in a quiet place next to a shady boulevard, roses and fountains, on the other, within walking distance to the main attractions. such as Registan Square. Polite and highly qualified staff, comfortable room with large bathroom and a decent sized fridge. . The breakfast is very satisfying: pancakes, scrambled eggs, porridge, cheese, butter, bread, dried fruits, sweets, tea / coffee. We will definitely return to this hotel again with ours friends annd families.
East Star Hotel

During our trip we had select East star hotel as our basis for exploring Samarkand. Hotel is centrally located in the center in a nice and quite neighborhood just steps to the main venue and very good restaurants around. Hotel has nice design and room was clean and modern and had everything. We had dinner and some drinks on the rooftop restaurant and food was nice and good price. A very good choice for Samarkand.
Hotel Caravan Serail

The wonderful hospitable Samarkand began with this hotel. Beautiful, clean, spacious, great breakfasts, cozy courtyard atmosphere, paintings on the walls. Within walking distance of many interesting places - Regestan Square, the Bi-Bi mosque and many others. The only thing is that the bathroom has a small shower area, but this did not affect the overall impression)

There should have been a review here about a nice hotel located in the very center... But! The hotel behaved as disgustingly as possible and it is probably their practice to deceive guests. On 10/30/2023 we went to the hotel to look at available rooms. I liked the room. With the reception representative we booked through Bukin, the price was $30.38. 31.10 we stop by, at the reception they quickly calculate something and issue an invoice of 480,000 sum. Pay immediately. Ok, we put our things in the room. I start checking the exchange rate, but it doesn’t add up. I'm going to the reception. The girls begin to babble indistinctly something about an additional $4 per person - “registration tax.” For the first time we hear about this tax in 10 days and a lot of hotels in Uzbekistan. When asked to show where it is written, “Well, look on the Internet.” Additionally, it is very interesting that the promotion price on the booking is 30.78, adding that same $8 on top we get the “without promotion” price. The coincidence is strange. But ok, let’s assume that there is a “tax” that was not taken from us in other regions. Why is it not highlighted in the bill? Why doesn’t the receptionist communicate at check-in that the booking price is extra $8 for such and such reasons? The amount is not important, but the way they “push it through” is disgusting. Further, realizing that after the booking is closed the review on the booking will not be positive, the hotel independently changes the dates of my booking to the end of December with a new price. Thus, the guys expect that if the booking is canceled, I will not be able to lower their rating on booking and leave a detailed review. It's sad that the hotel, which has ALL the resources to collect top ratings from guests (clean new rooms, good location), is spoiling its reputation.

We arrived at the hotel address in the evening and found the hotel with the help of enthusiastic locals. The hotel family is very enthusiastic, the room is warm, the courtyard is beautiful, the breakfast is good, the location is next to Registan, and it is not far from Chaisinda. It is within walking distance. 5 positive reviews
