There are also four minarets next to the mosque, which are 91 meters high. The mosque, which has a total area of 51,000 square meters, can accommodate about 100,000 people together with the chapel and yard, is the largest mosque in Pakistan."Islamabad1.1km from downtownHighlights: It is located next to the Pakistan International Islamic University in the west of the capital Islamabad. - 4.24.4/58 Reviewbased on 69 reviews"Trip to Islamabad is incomplete without a trip to Shakarparian National Park located in the heart of Islamabad. Here you can find famous Trees planted by almost all the head of states who have visited Islamabad since late 60’s to date. But these sections are closed for public and only you can see the trees and plants and with the description plate at the bottom of each. There used to be a village here with same name. On left side of the hill is Pakistan monument and on the right side it is a garden now called International Friendship Garden. The place is usually crowded on weekends. People used to sit here and read books while having tea or coffee but not anymore. It is one of the oldest tourist spot in Islamabad. This place is a good get away to relax and for taking long walks. It has natural beauty as well as small cafes and a restaurant for eating out. You can also visit the Pakistan Monument and enjoy the calm and peaceful environment in the sorroundings. There are bbq pits as well if you want to hang out with friends and family. Overall a nice place."Islamabad5.7km from downtownHighlights: Xiaoshan Park is located in the south of Islamabad, Pakistan. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can have a bird's-eye view of Islamabad. Xiaoshan Park is adjacent to the National Monument. On this hill is a large botanical garden with shady trees, but the more eye-catching tree in the park is the head of state tree planted by heads of state during their visit to Pakistan.Show Less
