Highlights: Bosten Lake, also known as Bohu Lake, was called the West Sea in ancient times. It is located in Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is the largest inland freshwater lake in China and the largest lake in Xinjiang. The Souvenir environment of the lake is beautiful, with large reeds swaying in the wind, sunny beaches that resemble the seaside, and quiet wetland fishing villages. Tourists can come here to enjoy the rare wetland and seaside scenery in Xinjiang, and can also take a boat trip on the lake and taste delicious food in the fishing village. It is a popular choice for summer vacation, leisure, sightseeing and vacation in Xinjiang. Bohu Lake has a large area, spanning Bohu County and Heshuo County. Some Attraction have been opened along the lake, covering most of the areas that can be reached by the lakeside road. Therefore, most tourists go to various Attraction to visit the lake. If you don’t want to visit the lake in the Attraction, you can only go to some lakeside villages on the east side of Bohu County. However, there are few entertainment projects and reception occasions here, so it is not recommended. The best tourist season for Bohu Lake is summer, mainly for local residents in Xinjiang to visit. In summer, the lake is rippling, the wetlands are warm, and there are lotus flowers and migratory birds to shoot, and the scenery is beautiful. In addition, Bohu Lake ice and snow tours have also been very popular in recent years. It is also very good to come here to play ice sports and skiing in winter. When visiting Bohu Lake, you can go to only one side, or you can go around the lake for sightseeing. At present, the entire south bank of the lake area is planned as the Bosteng Lake South Bank Tourist Area, which implements a one-ticket system. The area with the best lakeside scenery is this area, and the facilities and services of the Attraction on this side are relatively good. It is the main place to visit Bohu Lake. The current attractions on the south bank are mainly Lianhua Lake, Ahongkou, Yangshui Station, and Bailuzhou from west to east. It takes about a day to visit all of them. Lianhua Lake is located on the west side. It is not a vast lake scenery, but 16 small lakes divided by reeds and lotus ponds. Visitors can come here to see many water lilies. Every summer, this is a place to take pictures of flowers. Lianhua Lake also has a Cruise service, which can be driven to the big lake for sightseeing. Ahongkou has similar scenery to Lianhua Lake. It is also a wetland scenery with beautiful lotus flowers for viewing, but here you can see the open lake in the distance. Bailuzhou is located on the east side. It is a lakeside desert. However, due to the large area of the lake, it has become a typical coastal beach scenery. It is particularly unique in Xinjiang, which is deep in the inland. Tourists can swim and play water sports here in summer, and feel the same comfort and fun as the seaside tourist Attraction. And every winter, the main location for ice and snow tours in Bosten Lake is also here. In addition, there is a Haixin Mountain on the east side of the South Bank Attraction. It is a hill that goes deep into the lake. It is very suitable for taking pictures. Those who are interested can go there to take pictures. In addition to the South Bank Tourist Area, the lakeside attractions include the Dahekou Attraction on the east bank, the Jinshatan Scenic Attraction in Heshuo County on the north bank, and the Tianger Island (Silver Beach) Attraction. The Dahekou Attraction is also known as the Xihai Fishing Village. There are warm and beautiful reed marshes and small lotus ponds in the Attraction. You can take a speedboat to play on the lake. It is also an area where migratory birds gather. There are many restaurants here where you can eat delicious lake fish, and you can also organize lakeside barbecues, etc., which is suitable for a leisurely vacation. The Golden Beach and Tianger Island Attraction in Heshuo County are similar to Bailuzhou, both of which have seaside beach scenery. However, the two Attraction have been rather deserted in recent years, and the facilities are old or abandoned, so they are not recommended for visiting.
