Ouigo and TGV trains are high-speed train services operated by the French national railway company SNCF. Both can reach speeds of 186 miles per hour, but Ouigo is typically cheaper and offers more space per seat.
However, other amenities and services may be reduced on Ouigo services instead, such as the absence of a coffee bar carriage.
The tickets for Ouigo trains can only be purchased online, and there are only standard seats available. Remember to stock up in advance as there is no buffet carriage onboard. You are allowed to bring two pieces of hand luggage free of charge. However, please note that certain additional services or facilities may come at an extra cost, including power sockets, extra baggage, strollers, text alerts, pets, and access to a quiet area.
