Chandni Chowk Market

Chandni Chowk Market is located on a bustling commercial street in front of the Red Fort. Old Delhi's perpetually crowded Chandni Chowk has it all: noise, traffic jams, and arguments. In the small, unassuming shops along the street, you can find plenty of tempting delicacies, and, of course, McDonald's. During the heyday of the Mughal Empire, this was a quiet street filled with merchants and expensive residences, with a tree-shaded canal running through the center of the city. In the remaining, intricately carved havelis (traditional residences), you can still find traces of its former glory.
