The Oxnard outlet mall system is wide spread across many mil — traveler post in Oxnard

The Oxnard outlet mall system is wide spread across many miles (definitely more than five miles). This place is so huge that it's walk till you drop. If you are coming with family, it's best to go on a cloudy or rainy day. There are no shades in the area and requires outside walking from shop to shop. If your kids will get tantrum from heat waves, don't come on a sunny day. Camarillo Premium outlet is the largest of the outlet malls. There are 'smaller' outlets which is still quite large within a five mile radius of the Premium outlet. This area has everyone covered so there is something for everyone to look at or shop.

Exploring Oxnard’s Timeless Charm at Heritage Square ✨🏛️ — traveler post in Oxnard

Exploring Oxnard’s Timeless Charm at Heritage Square ✨🏛️

What does an early home look like in California? Oxnard heritage Square is a historic square showcasing turn-of-the-century early pioneer architecture and style. You’ll spot Victorian charm everywhere. The water tower, built waaaay back in 1877! 🤯 Most of the buildings (they’re closed to the public or now used as offices). The church is the big exception—visitors are welcome to step inside and soak up those classic interiors with the original ceiling light used to be lit up by gas. It’s giving all the early pioneer energy and is a must-see if you love a mix of history and gorgeous old-school design. Address: 715 S A St, Oxnard, CA 93030 Hours: The square is generally open for strolling around during daylight hours and often used as a public event space. Tip: check schedule or join in their local festivals usually held in the square for extra fun.

Marine Emporium Landing: Your Chill Gateway to Channel Islands Adventures 🌊✨ — traveler post in Oxnard

Marine Emporium Landing: Your Chill Gateway to Channel Islands Adventures 🌊✨

🚤🌅 If you’re cruising with Island Packers to the Channel Islands, Marine Emporium Landing is the exact spot you’ll launch from (address: 3600 S Harbor Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93035). It's 20 minutes drive from CA-1. The vibe here is more laid-back and no crowds compared to the Ventura office. If you’re into sport fishing (shoutout to all my seafood lovers 🦐🐟), this is also your go-to place for commercial and private trips. That means there’s high-key fresh seafood available around here—definitely worth a taste if you’re a foodie! The inner cove is perfect for leveling up your weekend with kayaking, boating, parasailing, and even water gliding—seriously, the options are endless and the guides? Super friendly and always down to help you out. Whether you want to drift on the Pacific or just enjoy those salty sea vibes, Marine Emporium Landing is a total win for your next Oxnard getaway. Bonus tips: Most trips with Island Packers depart early morning, so check your booking on trip.com for accurate times. Oh, and many nearby water tour companies operate between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. So, ready to live your best ocean life? Dive in—Marine Emporium Landing is waiting! 🚤🌊✨

Sealions Spotted! A Hollywood Beach Surprise 🦭✨ — traveler post in Oxnard

Sealions Spotted! A Hollywood Beach Surprise 🦭✨

Totally didn’t expect this, but Hollywood Beach is serving up more than just sunsets and vibes! If you’re craving a close encounter with sealions and seabirds but didn't have time for a half day to few days tour to the Channel Islands, here’s the hack: just walk about half a mile down from the Channel Islands Maritime Museum (3900 Bluefin Circle, Oxnard, CA; open daily 10am–4pm) and hunt for the famous Sealion statues. It’s not statues—there’s usually a whole colony of real-life sealions chilling in the area, turning the spot into their personal hangout! The biggest and loudest one usually is the leader of the pack—'barking' order for others around him. Just follow the sound (and, let’s be real, the fishy aroma 🫢) and you’ll probably spot these adorable sea creatures sunbathing or posing for your camera. Pro tips: · Keep a respectful distance—these cuties are wild and can get real sassy if you get too close! · Street parking is easy near Hollywood Beach and entry is totally free. Trust me, this is the most underrated, up-close wildlife experience in Oxnard. Go for the beach, stay for the sea-puppies!

Sea Lion Surprises at Channel Islands Maritime Museum 🦭🌊 — traveler post in Oxnard

Sea Lion Surprises at Channel Islands Maritime Museum 🦭🌊

Channel Islands Maritime Museum is a hidden gem right by the Oxnard Harbor! If you have a bit of extra time, definitely pop inside to soak up maritime history and check out their epic ship models and art. The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM, and you’ll spot it at 3900 Bluefin Cir, Oxnard, CA. Sometimes what's happening outside steals the show. If you suddenly hear a distant bark-like sound—just follow it! Your nose might catch a whiff of something fishy, and then you'll spot what looks suspiciously like a giant trash bag plopped by a boat. Nope, not trash. That's just a sea lion living its best life, sunbathing and totally unbothered by the world. Once you see one, there is no going. These adorable sea mammals are just randomly 'parked' next to their favourite yacht and just relaxing in the sun.

The Many Moods of Ventura Beach 🌊🌤️ — traveler post in Oxnard

The Many Moods of Ventura Beach 🌊🌤️

The many moods of a beach off CA-1! The clouds can roll in and out to make the beach very cool or hot. Surfers are total pros at reading the weather—they’ll check the forecast, size up the clouds, and decide which beach to hit for those epic waves they crave. 🌬️🏄♂️ Just five minutes drive away from Harbor Cove Beach, the beachfront vibe here is completely different. Whether you’re after mellow golden sunsets, wild surf action, or just wanna catch those salty breezes, every visit to the same place is a unique adventure. 🤙✨ Day Surfer’s Point are crazy popular. For beginner, don’t forget your board, sunscreen, and water! For the more advanced, there are also moon surfing here. Ready to chase waves or just ride the chill? This beach is a whole mood and it’s sooo worth the visit!

🛥️ Ferry Views 🌊 - Ventura Harbor, CA — traveler post in Oxnard

🛥️ Ferry Views 🌊 - Ventura Harbor, CA

Let’s talk about one of the coolest SoCal adventures you can do: ferry-hopping from Oxnard to Ventura and out to the wild Santa Cruz Islands 🛥️🌊. Picture this: catching the first, bright-and-early ferry with Island Packers and soaking up those epic ocean sunrise views — dolphins leaping beside your boat, endless blue, distant mountains... honestly, next-level vibes. Here’s my must-hit spots and tips: Top Spots to Visit: 1. Oxnard | Island Packers, 3600 Harbor Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93035: Book your roundtrip ferry tickets early; morning rides get you the clearest water and best wildlife views. I caught playful dolphins right from the deck! 2. Ventura | Ventura Harbor Village: Stroll the waterfront before or after your cruise. There’s coffee, cute shops, and chill spots to sit by the marina. 3. Ventura | Island Packers Cruises, 1691 Spinnaker Dr #105B, Ventura, CA 93001 (Open 8AM–5PM): The staff here know all the local wildlife and hiking routes on the islands. Ask for recommendations! Getting Around: 🚗 Drive and park at Oxnard or Ventura harbors (lots of free parking). All ferry bookings can be done directly with trip.com for a smooth setup. Where to Eat: Grab breakfast at Simone’s Coffee & Tea at Ventura Harbor before you set sail, or hit Andria’s Seafood for classic fish & chips when you get back. Quick destination tips: Santa Cruz Island is pristine, so pack out all trash, bring cash for rental lockers. 😋🧋 After returning by ferry, make sure to stop for boba at Boba By the Sea in Ventura Harbor Village shops before leaving! #hellonewyear #california #VenturaHarbor #SoCalNature #DolphinWatch #IslandPackers #travel2026 #newyear2026 #newyearstrip #dolphin #channelislands #santacruz #ferry #ferries

🐬 Dolphin Splash Magic 👀 - Ventura Ferry, CA — traveler post in Oxnard

🐬 Dolphin Splash Magic 👀 - Ventura Ferry, CA

If you're craving California coastal vibes, this itinerary is for you 🌊🦋! 🛥️ Ventura and Santa Barbara serve up sunny weather, epic ocean views, and outdoor adventure. Highlights? Chasing dolphins on the ferry (seriously magical), soaking up nature on the Channel Islands, and feeling that classic pier energy in Ventura. To catch the ferry: 1. Ventura - Island Packers Address: 1691 Spinnaker Dr #105B, Ventura, CA 93001 Start your day hopping on the Island Packers ferry for a 1-hour Channel Islands crossing. Keep your camera ready—dolphins often ride alongside the boat and, if you're lucky, guides sometimes help spot whales! Trust me, seeing dozens of dolphins up close is a thrill even seasoned travelers can't forget. Watching watching the dolphins make their leaps, a little girl with her family on the boat even said “I’m never gonna forget this!” That was truly sweet to witness. 🥰🐬 To book guides and tours: 1. Santa Barbara - Channel Islands Adventure Company Address: 520 E Haley St Suite B, Santa Barbara, CA 93103 Dive deeper into adventure—Channel Islands Adventure Company guides you through kayaking, snorkeling, or hiking. The untouched nature is next-level. 🥾 Local Tips: · If you can, grab the earliest ferry. The sea is calm, the light is unreal, and you’ll dodge the crowds. · Pack layers — sunny but breezy gets REAL on the open water. · There is a small snack and coffee bar on the ferry. ☕️🍪 · Bring snacks and a refillable water bottle; once you’re island-side, there’s no food for sale on the islands. #hellonewyear #ChannelIslands #CaliforniaCoast #OceanAdventure #DolphinWatching #NatureVibes #travel2026 #seascapes #familytravel #dolphins #ventura #cali

One-Day Trip to the Southern California Deserted Islands|Channel Islands — traveler post in Oxnard

One-Day Trip to the Southern California Deserted Islands|Channel Islands

📅 Documenting the Channel Islands trip at the end of September 🌊 We went to East Anacapa, the smallest island. It looks tiny on the map, but actually walking around the island and taking photos takes at least 2 hours. Highly recommended for first-timers. Compared to Santa Cruz, this one offers a more deserted island experience and feels wilder. 🪶 Departing from Oxnard Harbor ⚓️ When we first landed, the island was still shrouded in mist. The house in the center looks like a prison hhh, but it’s actually an abandoned cabin. The island is full of seagulls—never seen them so densely packed before, feathers everywhere. Watch out for bird droppings. 🚢 Island Packers tickets: There is no shade on the boat, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun. The one-way trip takes 1.5 hours. On the way, the guide took everyone to look for whales. Although this time we only saw a pod of dolphins, it was still worth it. On the way back, the guide also took us on a tour around the island 💯 creator academy

Marina Park

this place is amazing the kids love it the scenery is beautiful, However they are not happy that the zip line is gone

Universal Studios Hollywood

The overall experience at Universal Studios Hollywood was absolutely fantastic! You could say there were practically no lines. Even the big rides only took about ten minutes (this is essential; otherwise, you'd get overwhelmed and dizzy from all the rush). They're also having the world premiere of Fast & Furious. However, being an older theme park, many details do look a bit dated (especially the Harry Potter area). Universal Studios is truly amazing! It's unique and allows you to experience the film sets up close.

Disneyland Resort California

It felt a little different from Disney Resort in Japan! It was exciting to ride Cars, a ride that doesn't exist in Japan!

Disneyland Park California

Ticketing is convenient and quick. The world's first Disney park is a bit old, and the castle looks somewhat shabby, but it's the first one! The fun atmosphere remains undiminished, and the food prices inside the park are reasonable, similar to those outside, and the taste is also good. Visiting both parks in one day is perfectly feasible.
