Zhaoqing's Hidden Gems! These 6 New Treasure Check-in Spots Are Less Crowded, More Beautiful, and Perfect for Photos! — traveler post in Sihui

Zhaoqing's Hidden Gems! These 6 New Treasure Check-in Spots Are Less Crowded, More Beautiful, and Perfect for Photos!

Still squeezing into Seven Star Crags and Dinghu Mountain? Highly recommend this niche and upscale route! Personally tested for fun and great photos, it will unlock a different Lingnan charm for you. Two days and one night over the weekend is all you need! Day 1: Escape to the mountains, soak in hot springs, and sip cliffside coffee ☑️ Guangning · Emerald Bay Hot Spring Resort The first stop to escape the city is to dive deep into the bamboo forest of Guangning! This place is like a natural oxygen bar, with air so fresh it feels like a lung cleanse. The hotel design features an oriental minimalist style, perfect for high-end photos. The highlight is that each villa has a private hot spring pool, with water sourced from 2,700 meters underground. Soaking under the stars at night will heal all your year-long fatigue! ☑️ Sihui Jingkou Town · Blue Lake Bay This is a trendy spot transformed from a mining pit lake, with water as blue as a gem. The best part is the cliffside café—order a latte, gaze down at the deep blue lake, and any corner is perfect for a “life photo.” You can also relax in the café’s cat area, where the cats’ lazy poses are super soothing! Rumor has it that diving activities will be available in the future—looking forward to staying here~ Day 2: Stroll through ancient villages and hunt for a lucky jade piece ☑️ Dinghu Shapu Town · Puying Homestay If you like lively atmospheres, head to Puying Homestay, where there are bonfire parties and fireworks shows, full of festive vibes. ☑️ Yong’an Town · Chaoyangli For a quieter experience, visit Chaoyangli, a Lingnan water town transformed from a “hollow village.” With blue bricks and black tiles, century-old banyan trees, cafés, and academies, it holds the flavor of time. ☑️ Sihui · Jade Expo City “A stone from another mountain makes a gem.” As one of the largest jade purchasing bases in the country, this place is a paradise for jade lovers. The venue is huge, with thousands of shops. Even if you don’t buy anything, browsing the dazzling jade pieces and learning about “bargain hunting” is very interesting. Remember to look more, ask more, and impulse buy less—you might find your favorite little treasure! ☑️ Duanzhou · Yanqian Village Cloud Path The grand finale! This is the hottest new landmark this year—a 1,314-meter-long aerial walkway with such a romantic meaning! Walking along the winding cloud path, the mountains and waters of Seven Star Crags unfold like a giant painting before your eyes. The “Sky Mirror” station at the top is the highlight, with its mirror surface reflecting blue skies and white clouds, making you feel like you’re walking on clouds—perfect for photos. It’s recommended to go up at dusk to watch a sunset blending city and nature. 📌 Travel Tips 🚖 Transportation: Attractions are spread out; driving is the most convenient. 🛏️ Accommodation: Highly recommend staying one night in a hot spring villa at Emerald Bay or choosing a lakeside homestay in Yanqian Village, where nightlife is vibrant. 🥘 Food: Don’t forget to try Zhaoqing’s special dishes like wrapped steamed rice dumplings, Wenxi carp, and tea oil chicken. Stop just visiting traditional scenic spots! These fresh destinations will let you truly experience the diverse charm of Zhaoqing. Save this and set off with your friends now!

So cool! ! At the end of 2024, my child’s dream of becoming an astronaut came true. — traveler post in Sihui

So cool! ! At the end of 2024, my child’s dream of becoming an astronaut came true.

We go out every weekend with our child. This week, we fulfilled our child's dream of becoming an astronaut. So cool! In a hidden ancient village in Zhaoqing, there are 8 huge planet tents. The ground is covered with black stones. Put on an astronaut suit, and it feels like walking on the moon. In front of you is a 50-year-old mine lake, surrounded by ancient trees and a primeval forest. The environment is amazing! The photos are stunning! Here, we discovered an ancient tree called "Renmianzi," stayed in a planet tent with an unbeatable view, and took photos in an astronaut suit. Another happy experience and unforgettable memory in 2024!

Sihui Qishi River Scenic Area

The best scenic spot in Sihui City is the tree-lined path along the Qishi River. Listening to the sound of the river water hitting the rocks, surrounded by birdsong and fragrant flowers, it is very comfortable. The rocks are truly bizarre and varied. When you reach the Yinlong Waterfall, it is very spectacular, as smooth as silk and gauze, truly a wonder.

Dinghu Mountain

This package includes Dinghu Mountain and Qixingyan, which is great value. The attractions are not in the same area, so you need to drive there yourself. The scenery is very nice and there are very few people. There is a big cauldron in Dinghu Mountain where you can throw balls into it to pray for blessings. Many people buy balls and throw them in.

Liuzu Temple

The storm is strong and the Sixth Patriarch appears. This is the third time I have come to visit the Sixth Patriarch Huineng, because the Sixth Patriarch Temple is the most valuable attraction in Sihui in recent years, and it is free! Although it is an imitation of the ancient times, it also imitates the ancient charm.

Chimelong Safari Park

I really enjoyed it. The animals seemed very free and roamed around, allowing for close-up observation. My daughter fed the giraffes and flamingos, which was a wonderful experience. I also loved the spider monkeys. The zookeeper was lovely and very patient in explaining things. I would definitely go again if I had the chance.

Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort

I think 300 yuan per person is great value for money. It includes a free cable car ride for a panoramic view of the entire park, and a free mini-train ride for a close-up look at the animals on the African savanna – you get to see everything from different angles. We also spent 300 yuan to drive through the park and get a more intimate look at the animals – a very immersive experience. It wasn't the weekend, so it wasn't too crowded. The park staff were very responsible in their explanations. We also ordered a three-person set meal inside the park, which was a bit pricey, but reasonable for the park's price.

Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom

1. This shop at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Hengqin is fantastic! They have a wide variety of ocean-themed merchandise, and the whale shark and penguin plush toys are exquisitely made. The staff are friendly and patient, and they don't push sales. It's a great place to buy souvenirs with kids. Highly recommended!

Bought tickets through Trip for our family getaway. Enjoyed it immensely and the view from the top was amazing. Came with my father who is using wheelchair and all the staff were very helpful. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Guangzhou.

Nanyue King Museum-The Site of King's Tomb

"The Gift of the Nile" was almost missed; originally scheduled to close on October 11th, it has now been postponed to November 1st, seemingly leaving a final, gentle respite for those who couldn't make it. Upon entering the exhibition hall, a dynamic projection immediately catches the eye. Warm golden light spills across the walls, and the Sphinx sits serenely in the interplay of light and shadow, while the cat-headed goddess slowly emerges from the sacred pool. The temple from thousands of years ago seems to have been transported to the banks of the Pearl River, making even breathing unconsciously quiet. What truly captivates is the three complete mummies and the painted coffins. The mummy of Ta Har lies quietly in its display case, the colors on the coffin still vibrant after millennia. The patterns of deities and the hieroglyphic incantations—every stroke reflects the ancient Egyptians' solemn hopes for the afterlife.

Seven Stars Crag Scenic Area

I revisited Seven Star Crags in Zhaoqing after more than a decade! The familiar scenery is still beautiful, but the scenic area has been greatly improved, with many new attractions and a much richer experience. It's definitely worth coming back to explore it in detail.

Qingyuan Chimelong Forest Kingdom

The shop assistants Zhuang Jiaman and Luo Muchao provided exceptionally attentive service, patiently and meticulously explaining and helping me select products throughout the entire process. They answered all my questions carefully. They also recommended promotional items, explaining the details of each promotion. The overall shopping atmosphere was comfortable, and the experience was excellent, making me feel very warm and welcome. I will definitely come back to this store next time! The park environment is clean, tidy, and comfortable, with beautiful scenery, making it well worth a visit!
