If you are planning on doing the Cabot Trail, and not starting in Sydney, this is a great place to stay before you start the drive. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the on-site laundry was great - it saved us a lot of time trying to find one in the next few days.
The owner was very helpful, and the breakfast was one of the best on our trip so far, with lots of fresh fruit.
Clean facility run by professional personnel. Price included breakfast which was very good for tourists and working people. Only item that I found steep was the parking. Centrally located.
I stayed at King's College, which is adjacent to Dalhousie University, where Lucy Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables, studied. The historic building and campus are wonderful, and I'm glad I stayed here. The building and facilities are old, so there is no elevator and the toilets are shared on each floor, but they are clean. The room is spacious and has a mini kitchen, but no dishes or pots. There are towels, but no tissues. After checking in, I didn't know how to open the door, so I went to ask, but the two students at the reception desk were very kind and helpful. I had dinner at a Turkish restaurant nearby. The No. 1 bus stop was right next to it, so it was convenient to go to downtown.
The young man at the front desk was kind. The breakfast was included. It has scrambled eggs, sausages, juice, some fruits, yogurt, cereals, waffles makers, toasts, hot beverages. I like how they put at our disposition recyclable trays to bring back to our room. The room was clean-ish (except for dead squashed bugs on the wall and door). Overall, it was a nice stay.
Great hotel in a great location. The hotel is located very close to many stores and a theatre. The hotel also provides umbrellas for the occasional rain showers. The breakfast staff were very friendly, and constantly checking in with people to ensure everything was good.
This is the perfect launchpad for touring the area. And if we are ever back in Yarmouth, we would definitely stay here again.
Very simple hotel, waiting for everything, there is a small small pool, simple breakfast can be provided every day, he is on a hillside, at a glance, the open space, the view is very wide, the scenery is very beautiful. The former famous residence of Arcadia in the small town of Windsor, it is very convenient to travel here and stay at this hotel.
The hotel is very close to the airport. It is not half an hour. It is about 60 knives. The hotel is very close to the city. The environment is very good. The front desk service is also very good. It is close to the TD Bank supermarket. There is breakfast but there are not many varieties. I have not changed the taste for a few days. The price is not expensive. Will stay next time and recommend friends and relatives 👍

GGuest UserAwesome location right in town walking distance to anything you could want. Stunning views and grounds. We stayed in Skye house. We will be back
GGuest UserWe booked for 2 nights using an app. When booking two nights straight, it will be more expensive than booking two nights seperately. The first night, the app suggested a disability room. I told the lady at the front desk if that room is needed for someone in need I don't mind changing. The room has a little more space than the 2nd room we had, but overall I would say much cleaner...with a funny smell. The second room, as soon as you get in, it smelled humid and mold; there were mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and all around the tub. Two of the towels were undone as if they were already used, and only has 1 set of towel for a 2 person staying. There were squashed bugs on the wall. On the bed, it seemed like someone stepped on it with their shoes on. (See pictures) All the staffs are very nice. I asked for extra towels and pillow cases and the lady at the front desk brought them to our room.

GGuest UserIt was unclear to me when I booked online that a “physical” credit card was required to use for a damage deposit.
*I had loaded my credit card to my wallet on my iPhone & left the physical card @ home.
(I don’t carry a purse, so this was a great option for me).
The motels policy was credit card to use as a damage deposit…NO exceptions 😱
I had offered to use cash, but, was told no 😱😱
It just so happened that I had a credit card tucked away in my glove box or I would have been out of luck…would not have been allowed to check in & would have lost $400 on the room rental.
SO…beware travellers!!
GGuest UserA very accessible location if you were doing the scenic Cabot Trail or needed a remote getaway. Our cottage was just next to a nice sandy beach. Equipped with swings, a BBQ, and a kitchen, this getaway has the essentials most groups would need. The staff was also very friendly when we arrived and exited. Keep in mind Jul and Aug is the peak season around here so it's reflected in the price. The property is also older so while they keep it clean, some doors and windows might not close well or there are holes in the nets etc. Some fix ups and it could be a great place for a week with the family.
RRoaming DogThe hotel has a very stylish and boutique feel. The furniture in the room is old style as well as the drapery. A lot different from the chain hotel vibe but in a very good way. Hotel is close by to coffee and breakfast cafes as well as a few seafood restaurants. The hotel itself also has a very good restaurant and bar which when I visited was full of customers so you know the food must be good. Check-in took longer than usual but did have a nice chat with the desk officer. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a different feel than the chain hotel.

DDouglasExtremely expensive for what was provided. The location is not within easy walking distance of any stores or any parks.
The room was adequate, but the door had previously been kicked in, and the door frame had been patched with a thin piece of metal. Needless to say, this did make one question how secure the hotel was.
My standard question is whether I would stay in the hotel again. In this situation, the answer is no.
