Highly recommended! The price-performance ratio is very high. You can stay in such a clean, hygienic and comfortable hotel for only a few dozen yuan, which is almost half the price of a chain hotel. The location is close to Bengbu Station, and also close to the Bamboo Craftsman Street and the night market. You can walk back and forth to the night market to taste the food at night, which is very convenient. The boss is also very nice. He always uses both hands to hand over items to customers, and he immediately fixed the problem when the air conditioner remote control ran out of battery. All in all, it was a great stay!

Stayed for one night in Suzhou. The hotel has a private parking lot, breakfast, and the room is quite spacious. We are traveling by car and passing through Suzhou for an overnight stay. We are well prepared with daily necessities and we are not picky people. Overall it feels pretty good. The price is very affordable.

This Jinjiang is also an old store in the city center. The location is very convenient. The stay is late. The front desk has upgraded the room. The service is good. Hygiene is very good. The toothbrushes, cups, towels and slippers are all disposable. There are also disposable toilet seats.
But the soundproofing is so-so. Only one socket has electricity, and the one beside the bed doesn't have electricity either.

I have to boast about this hotel! The front desk staff was too enthusiastic. They took the initiative to help send water when they arrived. They also chatted with me when they checked in, especially intimate. The room was very clean, the sheets were covered with no folds, and the living was particularly comfortable. And the location is super convenient, very close to Ma'an Shandong Station, whether it is to go to the attractions or eat, it saves time, this is taken when you go, the room has been messed up, but it is still very clean, next time you come here to choose this one!

GGuest UserIt's a little far from Namdaemun, about ten minutes' drive, but the owner of the B&B is very nice, pick up and drop off. I arrived a day in advance and wanted to store my luggage up the mountain. I called and he immediately drove to move my luggage. It was very quick, so it's no problem if you don't drive yourself. The room is relatively new and clean, and there is a large terrace. Next to it is a small river with very clear water. The environment feels better than some hotels at the foot of the mountain. The breakfast is relatively simple, and you can add more if it's not enough. I just came back from climbing the mountain and I was not feeling well and wanted to eat something light. Overall, I still recommend it

I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

GGuest UserThis stay really exceeded my expectations! I booked this place after seeing the recommendation in a book before the holiday. Through communication, I felt that the boss was very nice. He would patiently help me read the guide and give thoughtful suggestions on attractions and meals. The homestay is quiet and comfortable, the room is exquisitely decorated and warm, the bedding is soft and clean, and it is so comfortable to sleep~ The landlady is warm and thoughtful, and prepared local specialty snacks for us. The meals cooked at home are also very delicious, especially the fried meat with fresh bamboo shoots, which is super delicious. We also provided pick-up and drop-off services for our mountain climbing the next day. In the evening, we wanted to buy things at the entrance of the scenic spot. In order not to let us get scammed, we drove ourselves to take a detour to buy. When we left, we also took us to a delicious restaurant where locals go. The female boss really paid full marks for details. I strongly recommend it to friends who come to Huangshan to relax. I will definitely come again on my next trip❤️

The Anhui restaurant across the street, recommended by the owner, has great food and is affordable. The room is spacious with plenty of hot water, perfect for families, featuring one large bed and one 1.5-meter single bed. The decor has an industrial style. It's a very cost-effective option for a family of three. The owner's pick-up and drop-off service was also warm and punctual. 'Climb Huangshan and no other mountain is worth seeing' – what a perfect end to the trip!

Hefei South Railway Station
I arrived in Hefei at night, impressed by China’s almost legendary punctuality — something my own country once specialised in, long ago. The airport shuttle glided through wide, perfectly straight roads lined with glowing skyscrapers. A good start.
Then I reached Hefei South Station, opened Trip.com, and was told: “Your hotel is right here.”
Technically true — but only if you know it’s directly underneath your feet.
After wandering around the huge empty square, a very kind police officer rescued me, pointed to a lonely elevator in the middle of the plaza (it looked more like modern art than an entrance), and down I went into the hidden world below.
The hotel is built inside the station itself — small clusters of rooms tucked between luggage areas and service corridors. From reception to my room it was about 300 metres of underground sightseeing. My VIBRAM-soled hiking boots even stuck to the floor at first (someone must have spilled a bottle of very enthusiastic orange soda), but the cleaning staff fixed everything with great care and many smiles.
Breakfast was the most unforgettable part: served inside a convenience store full of police officers and station staff queueing for their morning noodles. No English menu, lots of friendly confusion, and eventually I received three cold eggs and a massive seaweed-wrapped rice block the size of two fists. I decided to spare myself — life is too short for certain experiments — and found a latte upstairs instead.

GGuest UserThe accommodation has a free shuttle to/from the station, definitely a plus! It's only a 10 minute walk, but 10 minutes with heavy luggage is something you could miss. It’s a bit inconvenient that you have to call them to actually book the shuttle, because I don’t speak Mandarin and they don’t speak English, so a call would not be possible, but maybe that’s something that Trip could improve on. When I checked out, the lady told me (through a translation app) that she could drop me off at the station, which I was very happy about.
When I checked in, I got a room upgrade as well. I was alone so I didn’t really need two beds, but the the huge room was very nice after all those bunk beds in hostels! They also offer a carpooling service to the ticket office/entrance of Huangshan for a good price! Just tell them the night before that you’d like to go to Huangshan and they will arrange a shuttle for you (mine was at 7 am in the morning and I just had to message them when I wanted to go back to the hotel in the evening).
They can offer sightseeing tips, they can recommend you something to eat. Just ask and they will help you. Sometimes it was just a bit hard to communicate, the woman uses a translation app which works just fine, but the man doesn’t, he tries to explain everything in Mandarin by using gestures, writing it down in Mandarin … but then it’s obviously not easy to understand each other. That aside, they’re both so sweet and helpful. I would stay there again, if I ever come back!
Side note, Trip does not give you the correct address of the hotel (in English). Whichever map app I used, it would send me to an open space in the street of the hotel. The hotel is actually located just a bit further next to a (very good!) restaurant, but just ask someone in the street and they will bring you to the reception of the hotel, if you can’t find it. 😉

DDaochutaooI chose this place because I wanted to stay in a loft, but it was on the top floor and didn't actually have windows, so I ended up picking a bottom bunk. The loft felt cozy but lacked storage, which wasn't ideal as I had a lot of luggage, so I gave up on it.
1. **Hygiene**: Very clean. No trash, dust, or hair visible. It felt so clean, like no one had ever stayed there before.
2. **Bedding**: There are power outlets and clip-on night lights. The bed curtain consists of two half-panels.
3. **Rooms**: The top floor has lofts. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors have their own dedicated living rooms.
4. **Bathroom**: If the place is full, 8 people share two sinks and one shower room. The shower room is spacious and very clean. It includes a hairdryer, toilet, slippers, shower gel, shampoo, and a comb.
5. **Dining**: Meals are served on the first floor. I'm not sure if guests on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors can eat in their living rooms.
6. **Service**: The auntie (hostess) is very talkative and enthusiastic. The front desk sells items like chocolates, potato chips, and mineral water, as well as hiking poles and raincoats.
7. **Laundry**: Located on the first floor. There's a separate small room next door for hanging clothes, and there's a huge Golden Retriever there.
8. **Surroundings**: It takes a short walk to find places to eat, and food delivery is also available. You can order breakfast from the auntie; see Picture 1 – I thought it was quite tasty. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would've had it again today.
9. **Transportation**: It's a bit far from Huangshan North Station, but it's very convenient to arrange a car with the auntie!
10. **Going to Huangshan**: My route was to hike up the back mountain and take the cable car down from the front mountain (Yuping Cableway ¥90). The back mountain has fewer people and seems slightly gentler, but the path is quite boring. If you don't enjoy hiking, you might want to reconsider as it's physically demanding, and supplies along the way are scarce and expensive. The opposite direction would be Ziguang Pavilion → Yungou Cableway, which costs ¥80. Hiking poles are an option, but I didn't bring any. Check the weather beforehand; if it rains, there won't be much to see, so bringing a raincoat is a good idea. Definitely bring water, and bread depending on your needs. If you're hiking, it's best to bring both; I had about two bottles of water and one loaf of bread. The ticket includes the uphill bus, uphill cable car, entrance ticket, downhill cable car, and downhill bus. The closest stop to the hostel is Xiaoyaoxi Transfer Station, which is the first stop for the downhill scenic transport. If you miss it, you'll have to walk, as traffic jams (both public buses and ride-shares) can make it hard to catch a ride.

Un business familial et ça se voit. Toute la famille est impliquée. À quelques minutes des bus pour la montagne n'hésitez pas à échanger avec les gérants pour avoir tout les informations.
Magnifique vue sur la montagne. Je recommande le restaurant interne pour le petit déjeuner et pour un chaud repas en fin de journée. Petite épicerie sur place, idéale pour de l'eau avant d'escalader la montagne.
N'hésitez pas à demander aux propriétaires pour organiser votre retour à la gare avec un taxi local. Cela vous coûtera moins cher que n'importe quel Didi.
Le reste est classique et efficace. Grands lits, prises internationales, salle de bain avec tout le nécessaire. Et propriétaire joignable en cas de pépin. N'hésitez pas à prévenir si vous arrivez tardivement !

A family business, and it shows. The whole family is involved. Just a few minutes from the mountain buses, don't hesitate to chat with the managers to get all the information.
Magnificent view of the mountains. I recommend the in-house restaurant for breakfast and a hot meal at the end of the day. Small grocery store on site, ideal for water before climbing the mountain.
Don't hesitate to ask the owners to organize your return to the station by local taxi. It will cost you less than any Didi.
The rest is classic and efficient. Large beds, international sockets, bathroom with everything you need. And owner reachable in case of a problem. Do not hesitate to let them know if you are arriving late !
