GGuest UserThe hotel is just a three-minute drive from the entrance of Maijishan Grottoes. The owner is very hospitable and drove us to the entrance when we went to visit the grottoes.
Before booking, I called the boss in advance and he suggested that we only book the 80 yuan cave ticket. After checking in on the first day of Qingming Festival, we were sent to the entrance of the grotto scenic area at 8:10 on the second day. It was less than 10 o'clock when we finished visiting and went down the mountain. At this time, the queue at the entrance was expected to take three hours to go up the mountain, so it was very important to choose to check in at the entrance of the scenic area.

When staying in the wilderness, the first thing is to look at the scenery. The scenery of the desert hills is not to mention. Although it is at the foot of the mountain, it is still refreshing.
It’s also great to take photos in an open space. They gave us guidance on how to take pictures of the starry sky and provided a mobile phone holder. It was great. PS. If you come here, be sure to ask the housekeeper or the boss for a candlelight lantern (the store will provide it for free). The atmosphere for taking photos is great. Got it
In terms of meals, we ordered a barbecue from the store and ate on the terrace of the room (four people can sit on it, and if more than four people eat on the sand below the terrace)

GGuest UserThis is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators.
Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back.
As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers!
One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best!
Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)

AAnonymous UserWe had an excellent experience here! The location is great, close to restaurants, supermarkets, and Dafo Temple. The non-smoking room truly had no cigarette smell and was clean. The shared bathrooms were also clean (the staff cleans them several times a day). Upon checking in, they sent us files with tips, recommendations, and information about the tours they organize (it's possible to book round-trip transportation to Danxia in the afternoon for 40¥). The hostel staff were very kind and helpful. We felt welcomed and well taken care of here. The only area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi quality, which was slow in the evenings, but this was minor compared to all the other positive aspects. We would certainly return on a future trip to Zhangye!

GGuest UserThe room is clean and the environment is beautiful. This stay is great! The front desk is quick to handle the formalities and enthusiastically introduces the surroundings. The room facilities are very complete, the bed is soft and comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep. If you have any questions, ask the staff, and they will respond quickly and solve them well. It must be five stars! You can see the outside through the window in the Olympic Sports Center.

JJessica MellicaUnfortunately bed wasn’t comfortable, I slept all night feeling the iron net of the mattrass on my bones.
Overall, price is good with two breakfast included, plenty of options.
I was a bit upset when they charged us for the water we drink. There were water bottle in the room without any prices and we supposed it was for free.
There is no water or juices for breakfast only soy milk or full cream milk. But lots of vegetarian options.
There was a water dispense downstair for free available to refil water bottle, so don't do our mistake and just have the free one.
If we knew this in advance we could avoid to drink water in the room and avoid plastic bottle waste (as we travelling with bicycles we care about to be in a green way for our planet.)
Nobody explain us about charging items on the room during the check in, only the lady during the check out charged us.
This is the higher price we paied in trip.com since 20days of travel, but anyway we think is still good because two breakfast are included.

TTravellerBobStayed for two nights. The value for money was good. The hotel itself is not very clean and a little outdated, but the linen was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The window of the room did not close properly, and the nights were very cold, with 16°C inside the room. Because the windows did not close, a lot of outside noise was heard at all hours (there was an outdoor street piano that people played at all hours of the night). The room was also very small, with no space for placing luggage or anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

AAnonymous User1. The owner was incredibly kind. Even though we couldn't find the inn due to road construction in front of the inn, the owner, who had a GPS, was there right at our doorstep, guiding us all the way to the inn.
2. The rooms were very clean. We stayed on the first floor, which was very quiet. Parking was available right outside. The breakfast was excellent (see Figures 2-4), perfect for Chinese palates.
3. The owner is a local and has extensive travel experience. He helped us plan our trip effectively, saving us both time and money!
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.
