August 2025 - 4 nights
The location was great, and the staff were very friendly. It was a women-only room for 10 or more people, but the beds were bunk beds and the ceiling was a little high, so I was able to sit up and do various things in bed. There were no curtains, but
it was totally fine.
The room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked well and kept it cool. There were two shower rooms and two toilets in the room.
I had a great stay.
I recommend it.
The location is very central and beside underground station.
The building is really old, the entrance scares a bit, smalls a bit bad but when you get the reception it will be better.
The accommodation was ok, clean bed, including towel and they put in your bed a small welcome chocolate which is really kind :)
In the kitchen there is tea, sugar, and you can prepare your on coffee because there is a stuff for that. There is a hair dryer in the toilet.
I stayed for 6 nights in an 8 bed female dorm with en-suite. Bed is comfortable and each one has a lamp , plug socket, privacy curtain, small lock box on wall within bed space and an under bed storage box that is big enough to hold a carry on suitcase (need own padlock). The room is spacious enough to not feel cramped even with 4 bunk beds. There are hooks on the side of the bed and walls. The en-suite shower room had a hairdryer and soap/shampoo in the cubicle. There is also a washroom in the corridor. Rooms are cleaned each morning.
Room has heavy blackout style curtain and there are two lights meaning the smaller light near the door can be put on by someone arriving late. I had no problems sleeping. Roommates are the luck of the draw; all mine were quiet and respectful.
The hostel is in a charismatic old building yet modern and clean. The beds are spacious and comfortable to be in, also lounge areas, dining areas and separate work areas with tables being used by people on computers. Free WiFi is stable throughout. Kitchen area has multiple cooking hobs, necessary cooking equipment and even a toasted sandwich maker which I enjoyed making use of.
The hostel is clean, well organized and designed well for travelers. It is not a party hostel and a quiet place to chill, I.e. not the place for someone who is looking for a bar and active social scene within the hostel though everyone I met was friendly. Feels safe and secure with keycard access.
The location is great; being less than 5 min walk from Fovam Ter means lots of transport links for bus, tram or metro. I arrived and departed by FlixBus and bus 83 provides a direct 25 min route to the bus station. The hostel is right next door to the Great Market Hall in which there is an Aldi to buy cooking basics and all the market stalls for Hungarian specialties and souvenirs. Easy walking distance to the historic centre and places tourists would want to go.
I would definitely stay again.
I can say this is the best hostel during my entire solo travel experience! The room was clean, the bathroom was spacious and clean as well, the bed was comfortable and (again) clean. Don't know it's because I stay in the female dorm or I was lucky enough to have clean ladies in my dorm, but my worrying mind about hostel was swept away by this hostel cleanliness provision. The bunk is more on box-like and it has curtains (it's clean too!). The front desk were hospitable enough and the interior was also nice. There were plenty of restaurants and supermarket nearby,so you have lots of choice to eat. Yet,you need to walk around 7-10 minutes to reach the nearest tram/bus/metro.And better you bring your own toiletries, though there was a micellar water free to use in the bathroom area. Will definitely go back to this hostel whenn I have a trip to Budapest, 1 night was not just enough.
Great Spot for Travelers — Just Be Mindful of Dorm Life
I stayed here during my trip and really loved the location — super central and easy to get around. The staff were welcoming and the place was clean, which I really appreciated after long days of exploring.
The only downside was the shared dorm experience. One guest came back very late, turned on the lights, talked loudly on the phone, and unfortunately got sick in the bathroom. It made it a bit hard to get proper rest.
Still, the hostel itself is great. If you’re a light sleeper or prefer quiet nights, a private room might be worth considering!
Great location. Female dorm has beds separated by walls and curtains, that gives you a lot of privacy. Huge lockers with lock included. 2 showers, 2 toilets and 3 sinks inside the dorm. Spotless kitchen with 2 fridges, 2 microwaves and 2 kettles. Nice backyard to chill.
The only negatives that I found is that the pillow is too hard and thin for me (but it could like to some people).
The backyard is open 24 hours and that's not good, because as there is no air conditioner in the dorm and it is summer time, the windows have to be open even at night, and then you have people drinking, smoking and talking loud all night.
The staff is very professional and polite.
This is a really ideal place to stay while you are in Budapest. Check-in was friendly and easy, including a towel and bedding for your room. There are plenty of common spaces to charge devices and sit with others, although there is not a strong social connection here - a lot of the guests seem to be school groups and other groups of travellers. However, it is such a modern space with a lot of nice amenities and breakfast at an extra charge if you’d like it. The only disadvantage I could find is that the beds are very squeaky, so always a good idea to have earplugs and an eye mask on hand to avoid being woken up during the night if you’re a light sleeper. I would absolutely recommend this hostel and would stay again in the lovely city of Budapest.
Love my stay at the adagio! All the receptionists are really helpful (from giving advice on where to go, tips and tricks around the city to helping me print my boarding pass). The room is well decorated and there’s body/shampoo two in one gel, body lotion, tissue paper, coffee machine, sugar, tea, creamer, kettle, water in a jar, refrigerator and even microwave (plates, cutleries too)! Room service is done daily even if u don’t request which might be a problem for people. Pillow was not comfortable and the lights might not be sufficient at night but overall I enjoyed my stay due to the great friendly service!
The room was very nice and the decoration was beautiful. The courtyard had a fresh feeling. There were tables and hanging chairs, and the style of Baroque architecture. It was very nice. The price was also affordable.

FFanfangxiangdezhongkikiI booked a 4-bed room. The bathroom was quite spacious, and each bed had 2 charging ports, a safe, a fan, and a curtain, which was great. The common area on the first floor was also quite large and included a kitchen where you could cook your own meals.
GGuest UserTHATS THE BEST HOSTEL FOR BACKPACKER!!! I’ve booked it for twice in a year. The location is perfect which is close to main stations! The staffs are nice but I personally love their free breakfast and affordable drinks(with free dinner) for the most 😍
The breakfast is all the same but I love those unlimited healthy and fresh food.
The bathroom is clean but some floors it has a strong smell of detergent. The bed wasn’t comfortable but okay, and it’s a little bit cold in the winter.

Mmocha is in europeThe bed was a bit dirty (with some small pieces of bread) and there was a yogurt in the trash bin when I first came.
It's near the bus station and u got plenty of bus to take to get to city centre (20min). The shower and toilet are quite clean. Plenty of space to hang your clothes.
LLili_NA very atmospheric hotel, which is located on the 2nd floor (by button in the elevator) of a residential building. The entrance is from the main road, almost at the corner of the house, there is a huge beautiful door with a Leo Boutique sign, you need to press 58. The room is small, but cozy and the high ceilings with a view from the window are a big plus, it was also nice to get from the hotel a compliment in the form of a bottle of sparkling wine, which is very useful after a flight. Nice girl at the reception. Ideal location!!! Within a 5-15 minute walk are the main attractions and all kinds of cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. From the Astoria stop, where bus 103 from the airport stops, it’s a 5-minute walk; the sightseeing tour bus also stops there. I definitely recommend the hotel. I will definitely stay here on my next trip!
