It is a typical city hotel, not bad for the price. The staff are friendly and rooms have all the amenities including air conditioning, free wifi, toiletries, towels, hair dryer, toothbrush, shampoo and soap. Room are small but comfortable and the location is very central. From there you can walk to many of the most important landmarks of the city. Totally recommended.
Very satisfied with my stay in this hostel. Has everything I expected cleanliness, location, ease of transportation to all places of interest, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets everywhere. It is in a party district with the accompanied noise into the middle of the night but it did not affect my sleep at least for me without the need for ear plugs which the hostel provides if you need them. And staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
I stayed here for 3 nights in a 4-person dormitory room, under a bunk bed, just after the New Year.
Location
- 1 minute walk from M3 subway.
- 1 minute walk from supermarket.
- Near tourist restaurants and souvenir shops.
- There are beggars and homeless people, but there are many regular people, so it's not too worrying.
Accommodation
- It's hard to find the way from the entrance to the reception, but if you look carefully at the photos beforehand, you shouldn't get lost.
- There is a shared living room. They do wine tastings and promote it on WhatsApp.
- There is a fridge, cutlery, and a trash can.
Room
- Beds are assigned.
- No bed curtains.
- 2 C-type outlets.
- There was a light, but it was broken.
- Large lockers.
- Towels provided.
- Air conditioning and oil heater. It's warm even without the air conditioning.
- There is one shower and toilet.
- The shower drainage is bad as the reviews say, but it washed away while I was washing my hair.
- Some people may be concerned about dust on the carpeted floor.
It would be perfect if there were bed curtains!
Two guests who arrived at 3AM were woken up early by the lights being turned on, so I wish there were curtains haha
I guess I'll just have to deal with it with an eye mask.
Other than that, it's totally acceptable.
I stayed for 6 nights in an 8 bed female dorm with en-suite. Bed is comfortable and each one has a lamp , plug socket, privacy curtain, small lock box on wall within bed space and an under bed storage box that is big enough to hold a carry on suitcase (need own padlock). The room is spacious enough to not feel cramped even with 4 bunk beds. There are hooks on the side of the bed and walls. The en-suite shower room had a hairdryer and soap/shampoo in the cubicle. There is also a washroom in the corridor. Rooms are cleaned each morning.
Room has heavy blackout style curtain and there are two lights meaning the smaller light near the door can be put on by someone arriving late. I had no problems sleeping. Roommates are the luck of the draw; all mine were quiet and respectful.
The hostel is in a charismatic old building yet modern and clean. The beds are spacious and comfortable to be in, also lounge areas, dining areas and separate work areas with tables being used by people on computers. Free WiFi is stable throughout. Kitchen area has multiple cooking hobs, necessary cooking equipment and even a toasted sandwich maker which I enjoyed making use of.
The hostel is clean, well organized and designed well for travelers. It is not a party hostel and a quiet place to chill, I.e. not the place for someone who is looking for a bar and active social scene within the hostel though everyone I met was friendly. Feels safe and secure with keycard access.
The location is great; being less than 5 min walk from Fovam Ter means lots of transport links for bus, tram or metro. I arrived and departed by FlixBus and bus 83 provides a direct 25 min route to the bus station. The hostel is right next door to the Great Market Hall in which there is an Aldi to buy cooking basics and all the market stalls for Hungarian specialties and souvenirs. Easy walking distance to the historic centre and places tourists would want to go.
I would definitely stay again.
Great value for money! Budapest isn't a very big city, and the hostel's location is excellent – I walked everywhere. There's a supermarket and plenty of food options nearby, which was really convenient.
The only downside was one of my roommates. He was constantly on the phone, watching videos out loud, coming and going late at night, and snored incredibly loudly. It was the first time I've ever experienced something like that.
Great Spot for Travelers — Just Be Mindful of Dorm Life
I stayed here during my trip and really loved the location — super central and easy to get around. The staff were welcoming and the place was clean, which I really appreciated after long days of exploring.
The only downside was the shared dorm experience. One guest came back very late, turned on the lights, talked loudly on the phone, and unfortunately got sick in the bathroom. It made it a bit hard to get proper rest.
Still, the hostel itself is great. If you’re a light sleeper or prefer quiet nights, a private room might be worth considering!
Great location. Female dorm has beds separated by walls and curtains, that gives you a lot of privacy. Huge lockers with lock included. 2 showers, 2 toilets and 3 sinks inside the dorm. Spotless kitchen with 2 fridges, 2 microwaves and 2 kettles. Nice backyard to chill.
The only negatives that I found is that the pillow is too hard and thin for me (but it could like to some people).
The backyard is open 24 hours and that's not good, because as there is no air conditioner in the dorm and it is summer time, the windows have to be open even at night, and then you have people drinking, smoking and talking loud all night.
The staff is very professional and polite.
This is a really ideal place to stay while you are in Budapest. Check-in was friendly and easy, including a towel and bedding for your room. There are plenty of common spaces to charge devices and sit with others, although there is not a strong social connection here - a lot of the guests seem to be school groups and other groups of travellers. However, it is such a modern space with a lot of nice amenities and breakfast at an extra charge if you’d like it. The only disadvantage I could find is that the beds are very squeaky, so always a good idea to have earplugs and an eye mask on hand to avoid being woken up during the night if you’re a light sleeper. I would absolutely recommend this hostel and would stay again in the lovely city of Budapest.
Love my stay at the adagio! All the receptionists are really helpful (from giving advice on where to go, tips and tricks around the city to helping me print my boarding pass). The room is well decorated and there’s body/shampoo two in one gel, body lotion, tissue paper, coffee machine, sugar, tea, creamer, kettle, water in a jar, refrigerator and even microwave (plates, cutleries too)! Room service is done daily even if u don’t request which might be a problem for people. Pillow was not comfortable and the lights might not be sufficient at night but overall I enjoyed my stay due to the great friendly service!
Room is too cold. Spent 2 nights without heater. Later can enjoy a good night with heater. Besides, we have terrible experience with this hotel. I forgot a phone in the hostel. The staff ask for 50 Eur including his service and post service for the delivery. But he replied very slowly because he said this is an extra support not their job. When he received money, he slowly brought it to the post office after 3 days. When we ask for the receipt he replied no tracking number and no receipt too. He also become get angry because of my question. I understand this is not his job but he agreed to do the extra service. He received our money, he did job not for free, and we stayed in his hostel and the accident happened in his hostel.

Ttongtong.333I stayed at three wombats on this trip (Munich and Vienna ) and this one is the best!!! There is air conditioning inside the room!! Can’t complain!!! I visited in summer time and it’s grateful to have A/C. Besides there is a little fan every bed just like in wombat Vienna. The bath room is great, lots of space to put your stuffs, with hair dryer as well. Room is big, full size mirror is a plus. Guest kitchen is big too and three big fridges with enough space to store food. Great location easy to get to metro/ airport bus. Most importantly affordable price!! Love my stay thank you ☺️
YYan YeeThe amenities looks pretty old, which I did not enjoy. Also, the upper bed is without fences, which would cause some danger if you didn't sleep in a fixed position, you might need to ask for a lower bed for safety reason. However, I really enjoy their free breakfast. There is no broad choices, but basic enough for you to enjoy a fresh morning. Please note that they will need you to deposit a small sum of money (5 euro or 2000 huf) so please bring a small amount of cash.

LLili_NA very atmospheric hotel, which is located on the 2nd floor (by button in the elevator) of a residential building. The entrance is from the main road, almost at the corner of the house, there is a huge beautiful door with a Leo Boutique sign, you need to press 58. The room is small, but cozy and the high ceilings with a view from the window are a big plus, it was also nice to get from the hotel a compliment in the form of a bottle of sparkling wine, which is very useful after a flight. Nice girl at the reception. Ideal location!!! Within a 5-15 minute walk are the main attractions and all kinds of cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. From the Astoria stop, where bus 103 from the airport stops, it’s a 5-minute walk; the sightseeing tour bus also stops there. I definitely recommend the hotel. I will definitely stay here on my next trip!

GGuest UserThe room was very nice and the decoration was beautiful. The courtyard had a fresh feeling. There were tables and hanging chairs, and the style of Baroque architecture. It was very nice. The price was also affordable.
SShih Yuin ChewDidn’t expect this quality at this price.
Super clean and comfy bed (despite many beds per room) as well as shower room. Location-wise, it really is impeccable to my needs: there’s a major bus station RIGHT after you step out of the hostel; and across the street there’s a very good coffee place called Kultura, which served Asian standard balanced flat white.
On a side note, this place also helped me keep the Budapest Card mailed to this address (without me informing them, coz I forgot), which was incredibly lovely.
