Ideal place to rest after hiking to Kurasakiso. The Japanese style room is clean, neat and faces the ocean. Light house and ocean can be seen from the room window. The light house, 40deg North symbolic monument, the Kurosaki bay view point are all at a walking distance. The in house restaurant provides dinner and breakfast. I do not eat meat or other seafood except fish, therefore it was a bit difficult for them to manage my needs. But the breakfast compensated for my dinner challenges. I liked the breakfast as there were plenty of varieties of items to choose from. The onsen also faces the ocean and is quite good. After a demanding hiking, onsen dinner and cold beer made my night enjoyable and relaxing. This is a very good place to stay, I highly recommend it.
The front desk clerk was very nice and smiling.
The hotel's parking lot is not free, but it only costs ¥880, which is absolutely acceptable.
There are extra pillows available in the hotel lobby, which is great. I don't know why the pillows in most hotels in Japan are so thin, and it is very troublesome to request extra pillows every time. This hotel has many different ones for guests to choose from, as well as free tea bags, bath salts and skin care products for guests to use. The most surprising thing is that there are also facial masks, which are so attractive!
There is no free water provided in the room, and there is no ”Drinking Water” written on the tap, but the hotel lobby is connected to a convenience store, so you can buy snacks and daily necessities without going out.
It was cheap in the app, so I booked on the day and stayed for one night.
It was saved to arrive at about 4 minutes walk from the station.
It was the first neck that there was no washlet as a facility because it was an old hotel and the price was reasonable.
Be careful because there is no microwave oven.
The electric kettle was on the room.
Breakfast will be bread 2 sheets, salad, wiener, coffee, milk and tea.
There are taverns, yakiniku restaurants and ramen shops around the hotel, so there is no problem eating and drinking, and it was helpful to have a map of the surrounding restaurants at the hotel.
The cleanliness and facilities of this hotel are acceptable, but the aisles outside are very heavy with smoke, I have hardly seen this facility!
How could a smoking area be located in the hall?
Very satisfied with the service provided by ホテルきくゆう, the room is well equipped and provides wireless network (WiFi), the bathroom provides toiletries (towels and shampoo, shower gel), the daily meals are attentive and delicious, the boss and the proprietress are amiable, for foreign passengers who have just arrived in Japan. Can immediately feel at ease. The hotel is in a good location, the train station is next to it, and the bus station in front of the station has almost every route, and can reach various places in the city of Farno. The sightseeing association is nearby, it is convenient to ask about travel and car information nearby, and you can wait for your trip slowly without hurry. Thank you for your help during my stay. I will visit again next time I go to Farno.
DDevI stayed at this place during my hike through the Michinoku coastal trail. This is a good choice before you attempt Kurosakiso and Kitayamazaki coast. This can be reached easily from Horinai station. Cross the big bridge and walk a bit more, you can see the sign to the left. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor onsen. Many locals come here to use the onsen. They probably have annual or life membership to use the onsen. It is a nice opportunity to chat with some of them. When I was there, it was raining and hence I could not enjoy the view, however, using onsen after hiking in the rain was quite relaxing. On a clear day, the ocean can be seen from the room window. Dinner can be ordered and is quite good at a reasonable price. The next day, the hotel shuttle dropped me to the train station which was quite nice, I did not have to walk in rain.

GGuest Useron holidays in Japan, using JR pass ( travelling by train), the location is not that far from the train station (1.3 km - 10 - 15 min walk, easy for me) but there is no public transport. Ideal however if you have a car as is outside of the city center, easy with parking. The single bed was good, all what I need to rest. Breakfast was ' nothing special' but hey, its good that it is there ( toasts, jams, yogurt, some potato salad with slice of ham, coffee, milk, apple juice). nearby 7-Eeleven ( for dinner). Facilities include coin operated laundry, microwave, hot water ( for brewed drinks). This at the price which was far cheaper on Saturday night than any other hotel, and so if you are budget traveler, all what's needed can be found there
GGuest UserThis time I booked Arts Color, but I actually stayed in the owner’s other main building with a restaurant, Life is Beautiful (should be called Beautiful Life~). The B&B is about 10-15 minutes’ walk from Appi Ski Resort and Shirakaba Hot Spring. It’s not too far away. Dinner at the key B&B looks simple, but it’s super delicious. It’s at the level of a French restaurant. There’s free pick-up and pick-up at 8-9 am & 16-17 pm (Appi Station or Appi Ski Resort), and there’s a Japanese-style hot spring bath at B1. , just like the size of a personal hot spring in Yangmingshan, but it is really relaxing to take a dip after skiing. There is also a beautiful and atmospheric APPI House bakery and cafe opposite the B&B, and there is a ROCKY BBQ restaurant next door, in this countryside At night, there are already a lot of such shops, because there is really no nightlife here at night. You can consider going to Baihua Hot Spring for a bath (open until 23:00). This is a solo trip, and the cost for one hotel and two meals is NT2100/ God, I think it’s a great value and worth recommending. I hope I can visit again soon.
IInubashiriI was extremely satisfied with the service provided by Hotel Kikuyu. The room was well-equipped and offered Wi-Fi. The bathroom provided toiletries (towels, shampoo, and shower gel). The meals were thoughtful and delicious every day. The owners were kind and friendly, which made me, a foreign traveler new to Japan, feel instantly at ease. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the train station, with bus stops in front of the station serving almost every route, providing easy access to various parts of Tono City. The tourism association is nearby, making it convenient to inquire about tourist information and transportation, allowing me to wait patiently for my journey. Thank you so much to Hotel Kikuyu for their help during my stay. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tono.
AAnonymous UserRoom is bigger than I thought ! have all facilities that we need. Clean, tidy, and comfortable. And what impressed me the most is the owner ! Nice and lovely. I booked a room with breakfast, the breakfast was delicious serve in japanese-style. For who will come to karumai for haikyuu like me don't hesitate to choose this hotel for stay !
TTex-Traveling DiaryThe location is really good, it is really close to morioka Station. I picked the hotel because of it location, I just need a one night stay after my nebuta festival. The room is really small but comfortable 😌. The front desk services are really friendly and consider I check in the middle of the night.
MMaurice CoronelFor the price, this was very acceptable standard. Free breakfast and curry dinner. Has public baths should you want it. Huge comic book library if you can read Japanese. Around corner from jr Station or parking in front of hotel for small fee. Rooms were small but adequate. Very quiet.
