The station is right in front of the hotel. The parking lot is next door.
The hotel is clean and seems to have a variety of room designs, so I would definitely like to stay here again.
I stayed here the night before playing golf, and I was surprised to find that there was a simulation golf shop on the second floor,
which was spacious and clean.
Guests received a discount of 2,100 yen for 50 minutes, which I was very happy with.
The hotel's website is run by a different company, so
there is no information about it, but I hope they provide proper guidance.
This would surely increase reservations!
The TV remote in the room was covered in dust.
There were dead bugs on the bathroom ceiling.
There was hair on the wall.
Maybe the cleaning wasn't very thorough?
I'll stay again.
Convenient place just across Tobu Nikko station. For one night we had all we needed in our twin room, which was like a studio: private bathroom, kitchen corner with microwave, kettle, sink and fridge (no kitchen amenities), balcony with view. Heating and heated blanket did their job in the cold night. There’s a Supermarket and a Laundry service close by.
The hotel needs for sure some maintenance and insulation can be improved as it was very cold.
The only way to get to upper floors is by elevator, as I tried using the stairs but they were blocked by piles of sheets, which is not ideal as there should be emergency exits! Not really a budget accommodation compared to other places I stayed in Japan and for the standard offered.
It's a very good place to stay. The room is clean and the owner is very nice and sweet. She is very helpful, explained everything that I need to know. She also prepared us a healthy breakfast for free. The place is near the train station within walking distance. If I go back to Nikko again I will definitely stay here.
When we arrived grandma missed our order. But it was dealt with quickly. We took this dad on the trip. We enjoyed 3 days and 2 nights. The old lady cooked a sumptuous breakfast and dinner every day. They were very delicious and I was very full after every meal. We were also very satisfied with the meal. The B&B faces the mountains and the sea. The scenery is beautiful. Great stay . I really like it. Thank you, grandma. Our family of 3 had a lot of fun
The room size is comparable to typical business hotels in Japan, which was quite comfortable. There's a public bath on the first floor. Although breakfast isn't included, you can add 700 yen for a buffet breakfast, which was delicious and a much better option than eating out. The owner was also very welcoming. Even though the front desk was unstaffed between 10 AM and check-in time, there are four paid lockers outside the hotel for luggage storage. What's particularly convenient is its proximity to the station, just about a 4-minute walk, and it's also not far from the only supermarket near the station.
Actually, the cp value is quite high.
You have to have a room for yourself, the price is not expensive.
It's just old.
The gates will close at 11 p.m.
Get in and out of the side door.
About 800 m from the station
Advantages:
Go ahead and have a fresh supermarket
2. The room is small and well equipped
3. There is an elevator, a public bath for men and women
Disadvantages:
The whole building is very old
Located a 5-minute walk from Shimoimanochi Station, this business-style hotel has an elevator.
The room was quite spacious for Japanese standards, and even had a small sofa.
The room was clean and tidy. There were coin-operated washing machines and dryers in the hallway. Laundry detergent could be purchased at the front desk for 50 yen per small bag.
A map of nearby restaurants was available at the front desk.
There was a large supermarket nearby with reasonably priced fruit and a wider selection of goods, cheaper than convenience stores. A large FamilyMart was located diagonally opposite the hotel.
It locate on the mountain. You have to walk up to mountain. (Not good for big lagguage traveller.) Great Lobby. Good service mind.
But the way to drom room have bad smell. If not it will be perfect guesthouse.
The guesthouse is quite a way from Nikko town (10-15 mins by bus / 1 hour walk) but is in a good location for getting to the shrines or to Lake Ashi - there's a bus stop close by. The guesthouse was homely and had 2 private onsen. Our room was comfortable enough although the en-suite was very tiny! The host was welcoming but didn't speak any English which meant we had to communicate by translating on our phones. We booked to have breakfast at the guesthouse, but didn't realise that for booking the dinner we needed to give 24 hours+ notice so missed out!
Located in the suburbs of Tokyo - Hemu Taiping, the location is quiet, suitable for self-driving passengers, the nearby attractions are a little distance, the first time to experience the container house. Breakfast is very ㄧ.

Jjlow123Most of the reviews are outdated so I thought I'd give an updated review. For one thing, there is WiFi (I have informed the landlady that the website indicates otherwise).
This place is a traditional-style inn. You'll be sleeping in a futon (some Google-fu should help you know how to use one), use two pairs of slippers (one for moving around the house, one exclusively for the toilet) and will also bathe in a Japanese-style shared bathroom. The front gate and bathroom close at 10pm, which is not an issue as everywhere in Nikko closes early and it's too dark to hike outdoors (in early Autumn).
We loved using the onsen to relax after a day of strolling around and hiking, and the delicious Japanese-style breakfast was lovingly prepared by a friendly old granny. The premises are old but well-maintained. Toilets, bathroom and onsen were great but we were there during off-peak season so we didn't need to share so much. Should we return to Nikko, this place will be our first choice!
LLena DovganIt was the perfect place for me to reset and refresh. The hostel is surrounded by beautiful nature and has a hot spring, just what I needed in a getaway from the big city.
The common space is designed beautifully and has two very comfortable kitchens, big fridges, and everything you might need for a comfortable stay.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, one night the hostel even arranged a hot pot dinner. First I stayed in a standard room but I ended up extending my stay here, this time in the women's only dormitory. Both the private room and the dormitory room were very comfortable and had everything I needed.
Long walks was just what I needed but it looks like there's quite a lot to do around if you drive just a little bit, so I would recommend coming by car or renting one at the train station.
I can't wait for my next visit here.

GGuest Userthe inn is managed by a small family.
The room i got was considerably larger than i expected. Food was exceptionally great, the innkeeper was very considerate to accomodate to my request to replace the original pork patty meal with pasta. They were also very kind enough to give me free handwarmer when i mentioned that i was looking for it at any store around for my hike to mt nantai.
Highly recommended
GGuest UserThis hotel was in a very beautiful, peaceful location. The room was very large with a shower room separate from the toilet. There were a couple of parking spaces, I would recommend driving as the stores are a bit farther away from this hotel

GGuest UserWhat an amazing place to stay - Kas and his wife made us extremely welcome and provided excellent restaurant recommendations as well as places to visit.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent (with juice, yogurt, ham and omelette and fruit, plus toast and tea/coffee).
The bedrooms are large and the bed are comfy. The shower was also super clean.
It is uphill from Nikko Tobu station but you can easily get a taxi from the station for 1,000/1,100 (£5/6) which saves carrying the luggage.
Short walk to Kirifuri waterfall which is beautiful and if you’re lucky you’ll get to see the monkeys along the way.
I couldn’t recommend more highly and look forward to coming back in the future!

AAlly2023Service was excellent! Some staff can speak English. Busy hotel but got enough parking. Location is convenient, there are restaurant nearby. Room is semi-double but we got enough space. Got breakfast however the breakfast time is pretty early from 6am to 8:30am. (Check out time is 10am) We went down at 7:45am, but food was almost gone, but staff no refill anymore, this might need to be improved. Also the room inside and the bathroom are a bit old, carpet is a bit dirty, this might need to be improved too. But overall, its pretty good to stay a few nights.
