The female owner's hospitality was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay. She gave us information about local sightseeing spots, and when we told her we were going to Kandy next, she also shared some of the highlights there, making this a fond memory of our trip to Sri Lanka. We got caught in the rain while sightseeing in Ella, and when we arrived at the inn soaking wet, the warm Ceylon tea she had prepared for us was delicious and comforting. It was a perfect stay without any complaints, and we'll come again.

We arrived tired and out of sorts, but we were greeted so warmly that our spirits immediately improved. The hosts gave us tea, chatted in a homely way - you feel like a welcome guest, not a client. The hotel is on top of a mountain, and each room has an exit to a terrace with a stunning view. You wake up in the morning - and in front of you there are only mountains and silence. The room is clean, cozy, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Breakfast was prepared especially for our preferences: fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, even smoothies! The staff is not formally polite, but truly kind. If you want to not just spend the night, but feel cared for and relax your soul - this is definitely your place. I want to come back again and recommend it to everyone. Many thanks to the hosts for such an atmosphere!

This was one of my best stays in Sri Lanka. The only thing I could fault the place for, was the water pressure was not very good. I know serious world problems right. As a frequent world traveler I look for clean/safe/valuable for money accommodation, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, working AC for the hot climates and good Wi Fi. This place ticked all those boxes and some. Great hosts and you have the option of paying the extra for a home cooked meal, which was tasty and plentiful. It is located in a very quiet serene part of Ella and you will either be faced with a short drive into the Ella township or an approx 20min walk. The hosts went out of their way to ensure a great stay, helped with luggage up the steep stairs to the accommodation and bought some required items, when the host went into town. Pics shown stairs leading up to the accommodation, so definitively not wheel chair friendly. Another pic shows the evening meal. We also opted for the host to provide breakfast and it was just as good and affordable.

We really enjoyed staying in this gestahouse ! Thought to stay there for a couple of days, but the temperature rose and had to recover 5 days :) from what would be noted for those on their transport , a pretty cool entrance to the gestahous, especially for the first time insurgently, then you get used to. I stayed there for one night before going to Ella. Lina and her family gave me an amazing and very caring attention. The Location is great only 5 minutes walking from the train and bus station and the bungalow is very well equipped.

From the time I arrived, he was kind and I was able to stay very comfortable! Please be careful about amenities, do you have soap? I was very happy to hear that and give me water when I left. It is close to the bus stop and is recommended if you are staying at Badulla.

Overall very good, first-class service, very friendly people, breakfast and dinner are good! However, some negative points : – The smell of cigarettes from people smoking in the corridors can enter the room according to the wind. – Soundlessness is very low: people are clearly heard talking and going back to the corridors at night, which can disturb sleep. – The location is not necessarily very accessible if you are looking for a lot of comfort or space. In general, a proper stay with exceptional reception, a pleasant terrace, a good quality-price ratio, but some improvements would make the experience more comfortable.
