I stayed this hotel as paid by a conference organizer. I did not pay myself and so my review might be biased. This hotel is one of the three hotels owned by the company running Companile Hotel which is located around the corner. The room I stayed is small but clean. There is a small desk and well air conditioned. What was missing to me was some coffee / tea with an electric kettle. But they were not needed this time because I was out of the room for almost all days during my 2-day stay. The shower’s water pressure and temperature could have been better but I guess some people don’t mind. The breakfast was decent and I wouldn’t mind staying again if it’s a day or two.

As part of our trip to Casablanca, we looked for a cheap hotel beforehand. The reviews worried us, but we thought it would be enough for one night. When we arrived to check in, we were greeted warmly. Although the door to this hotel stated that card payments were possible, we were asked to pay in cash because nothing else was accepted. When we opened the door to the room, we were met with a cold shiver of horror, which in my case was almost like a fainting spell. We were met with a sonata of the finest smells of mold, damp cellars and chlorine. After this incident, I wanted to retreat and change hotels, but my companions convinced me to give it a chance. Next, we inspected the bathroom, which had also been the root of the evil in other reviews. This impression was confirmed in our case too. The bathroom looks like one in a subway station in Berlin. The tiles were broken, the joints were completely moldy, the ceiling was cracking, the toilet seat was more than just dirty and the shower had no shower head or curtain. When you take a shower you inadvertently flood the entire bathroom, so much so that you could start a sea battle. Every visit to the toilet is as pleasant as a date with the rack in a torture chamber. When one of my companions dropped a towel, we also noticed that the floor of the room had not been cleaned since the Middle Ages, as the white towel turned a shade of black when picked up. The beds were clean, but the bedspread that had been thrown over it had apparently not been washed since the hotel opened. Our room also had a small sofa that I wouldn't even offer my dog as a place to sleep. It looked as if it would soon be thrown out with all the bacteria and dirt. The walls of the room are as thin as parchment, so you can hear every conversation of your roommates above, below and to the side. After one night I can definitely publish a wall newspaper with the most important events in the lives of my fellow inmates. But enough of the malice. In the end, everyone decides for themselves whether they want to subject themselves to this adventure. However, I can only describe this hotel with the word ”shack”.

There is no better choice than this hotel. This hotel is located in the city center. It is close to many shops, restaurants, public transportation and major tourist attractions such as Muhammad V Square. The staff in the hotel are all very friendly, professional, and very welcoming and very helpful. I stayed at the dawn hotel in Casablanca for a total of 6 nights and I really highly recommend any traveler to Casablanca to choose to stay at this hotel. This hotel is really my home when I visit this city in the future.
