An average hotel with a simple room (on the top floor). The windows faced the road, so you could hear every passing moped and car. You could also hear the prayers (which didn't bother me too much). Tea, coffee, and water are provided daily. There's a shared water cooler with hot and cold water on the floor.

I chose this guesthouse, newly opened in 2026, for my trip to Langkawi this time, and it truly exceeded my expectations! It's located above the Kawanda Billion Supermarket, so you can just head downstairs for water and snacks – super convenient. There are also tons of food options around, from restaurants to street stalls, making it easy to sort out all your meals without any worries.
The owner is incredibly kind, and all the staff are super enthusiastic. They're always happy to answer questions and even recommended many fun local spots and delicious restaurants to us. The room facilities are very new, and both the bedding and the room itself are extremely clean, showing that they truly put effort into running the place.
The biggest surprise was the communal kitchen! It's equipped with an air fryer and a microwave, so we could buy seafood at night and prepare a simple meal ourselves, which was incredibly convenient and saved money. The mountain view from the window is lovely; sitting there and enjoying the breeze was very comfortable.
It's about five kilometers from both the airport and Cenang Beach, so a taxi ride takes about ten minutes – a very suitable location. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Langkawi; I genuinely recommend it to everyone!

Excellent hotel near the beach with responsive staff!
I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in February 2026. I had a Deluxe room with a garden view (more precisely, a view of the 'backyard' – a path to the beach). I didn't regret it – it could get very noisy and loud by the pool sometimes. The room was quite spacious with a large bathroom. Everything was meticulously clean before check-in. The mattress, bedding, and towels were good.
Room cleaning, towel changes, and replenishment of water and tea sets were done by arrangement.
The room had a refrigerator, a kettle, and a tea/coffee set that was regularly restocked. The shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion were nice and pleasant. Hot water was always available.
There were few power outlets in the room, and the hotel didn't have adapters, so I had to buy my own.
Every day, two 0.5-liter bottles of water were provided.
The Wi-Fi was very weak and constantly disconnected, so I used mobile internet instead.
The hotel grounds – the paths, lobby, and pool area – were very green, pleasant, and full of flowers, looking very appealing.
The room had its own terrace with chairs and a table behind a green hedge – a nice spot to sit, read, and drink coffee (though there were many mosquitoes at night).
The path from the hotel to the beach was almost entirely sand, so you could walk barefoot to the sea (but carefully). It passed through trees and bushes, where I saw various beautiful birds and monkeys during the day. Returning along this path after sunset wasn't very pleasant. However, right at the entrance to the hotel area, there was a tap for washing feet. There were security cameras around the perimeter of the hotel.
I swam more often at the neighboring hotel, where a net marked the swimming area to protect against boats and jet skis. Overall, the beach was pleasant, with a sandy and comfortable entry into the water. Occasionally, jellyfish and other marine life would appear, but that's just luck of the draw.
There were many cafes with various options around the hotel.
I really enjoyed the breakfasts at the hotel – there was a good selection, and a new dish was offered every day. The fruits were excellent.
Overall, the hotel left a very pleasant impression!
I recommend it and would return here again.
During the recent school holidays, I had the opportunity to stay at a four-star hotel located in the heart of the city. My experience there provided many fond memories and allowed me to personally assess the quality of services offered. Overall, I was satisfied with the facilities and service, though there are a few areas that could be improved.
Upon arrival, my family and I were warmly greeted by the staff at the reception counter. The check-in process was smooth and didn't take long. The hotel staff provided clear explanations about the available facilities, including breakfast times, the location of the swimming pool, fitness center, and other services guests could use. Their professional and friendly demeanor made a very good first impression.
In terms of location, the hotel is strategically situated near shopping centers, restaurants, and several tourist attractions. Its easily accessible position made travel more convenient and saved time. Furthermore, the area around the hotel was clean and safe, allowing guests to walk around and enjoy the city atmosphere without worry.
The room provided was extremely comfortable and clean. As soon as I entered, I found the furniture neatly arranged and ample space to move around. The soft and comfortable bed allowed me to rest well after a full day of activities. Amenities such as air conditioning, a television, mini-fridge, electric kettle, and wireless internet access were also provided to meet guests' needs. The bathroom was also clean and equipped with basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, fresh towels, and a hairdryer.
One of the aspects I appreciated most was the hotel's very satisfactory level of cleanliness. The cleaning staff performed their duties efficiently and meticulously. The room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replaced regularly. Public areas such as the lobby, elevators, restaurants, and swimming pool were also consistently clean and tidy. The well-maintained cleanliness provided comfort and confidence to guests throughout their stay.
Regarding food, the hotel offered a variety of delicious and appetizing meal options. Breakfast was served buffet-style and included a wide range of local and international dishes. Among the dishes offered were nasi lemak, toast, cereals, fresh fruits, pastries, and various beverages. The food quality was good, and the taste was satisfying. However, I believe the hotel could add more menu variety, especially for guests staying for a longer period.
Additionally, the hotel also provided various recreational facilities
The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions.

Room: The room is a bit old. There's a TV, but you have to connect to Wi-Fi. The hotel doesn't offer free Wi-Fi, and the internet signal isn't strong inside the room.
Location: Superb, right in front of Chenang Beach, facing the sea. Open the door and you see the ocean immediately. Highly recommended.
Price: Affordable.
Parking: There's free parking available next to the hotel.
Conclusion: For those who want a hotel room close to the sea and facing the ocean, you can book this hotel with a sea view. It's definitely worth it. Even though the room is just so-so, not super clean, and the toilet is also just average, and the TV isn't functional, we overlooked these imperfections because our main goal was a room right by the beach facing the sea.
If given the choice to book here again, the answer is yes, I would repeat the booking if the price is cheap and good value at the time of booking. This is because the location is great, right by the sea, making it easy for kids to play on the beach.
The room we stayed in during this trip was clean and comfortable. However, we feel that the toilet lighting could be brighter. We would also suggest avoiding black floor tiles in the bathroom,as dark tiles can make it difficult foe guests to notice accumulated fungal stains or determine wheather the floor is truly clean or dirty at a glance.

LLiwaThe room was decent, quite spacious. The birds in the courtyard started chirping early in the morning, which was a bit noisy, but other than that, it was pretty quiet. Yellow Club is diagonally opposite, about a 10-minute walk away. It's an ideal spot for watching the sunset. The breakfast area is a bit small, so if you go at the wrong time, you might encounter a crowd and have to wait in line. Breakfast is a set menu, with about five or six options to choose from.
FFeidie328The biggest advantage of this resort is its proximity to the sea—almost zero distance. Stepping out of your room, you're just a few steps away from the soft white sands of Pantai Cenang. For anyone who dreams of falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up to a sunset view, the location is simply perfect.
While some areas of the resort do show their age, with rooms needing maintenance and facilities feeling dated, the soundproofing is decent enough to ensure a good night's rest.
The staff are friendly and offer multilingual service, making communication easy. However, the service efficiency and professionalism aren't on par with high-end resorts, which is understandable given its three-star rating.
NNoorirwandyGood location in Cenang. By the beach. With pool, suitable for kids.

I had a pleasant stay at AST Hotel Alor Setar. The room was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable and stress-free. Everything felt neat and tidy upon arrival, and the overall environment was nice.
One thing to note is that there is no lift available, which might be inconvenient for some guests. However, you can request a ground floor room from the staff, and they are helpful in accommodating when possible.
Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a clean and simple place to stay in Alor Setar.
CCoupleGoalsLook, you get what you pay for. I have multiples problem with many hotels but this location and rest of things like they treat us and the room service was beautiful. They clean the room daily but building itself old like 12-13 years. I think they need some renovation nearly.
I booked it not only for cheap also they has 2 swimming pool, one for baby and one for older. Loved it. Than

AAnonymous UserRated hotel as average based on other's review read, as didn't make it to stay in the hotel. However, the reservation service team was helpful to promptly reply to my email. The hotel's strange side would be the reserved family room with balcony, facing inside within the hotel with no outside street view.
GGuest UserPlace quite near to BKH, it's located roadside canglun. Beside the hotel ve got insurance agency, it's open 24hours. Room comfortable but not spacious, only hair dryer need to request from the reception because it is not provided in the room. Overall good.
AAnonymous UserHotel Sri Malaysia Kulim. Strategically located near Kulim town. There's a night market here on Saturdays and a morning market on Sundays. It's also close to the Kulim bus station.
AAndyGeeWhenever I'm passing through Langkawi, up to 4 times a year, the Sweet Inn is my favourite place to spend a few nights. The staff are very friendly & helpful & the property is kept very clean, tidy & well presented. Great spot out of the busy Cenang main Street but close enough to experience all the great food & entertainment in the area as well as a very short stroll to the beach👍
