Self checkin was easy and simple. No fuss. We arrived a couple hours early. Phoned the Mob No @ unmanned reception desk. Mgr gave us access code to our unit. Lovely cleaning lady arrived to complete finishing touches cleaning our unit but not expecting we had arrived early. No problem at all. Finished off her task.
Our self contained unit no.2 was clean, warm & fresh.
Parking space for our vehicle was great.
Great value for money.
Will definitely recommend staying there.
Cheers
The motel is located a bit away from the main wharf and from all the main stores in town but still within walkable distance. The room was really clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. There's also an outdoor seating from our room which was nice for having breakfast.
Suitable for taking children. Our room sleeps 5 people, 3 single beds and 1 double bed. There is a kitchen in the room, the pots and pans are all complete, and there is a refrigerator for your own simple dishes. The hotel is very close to the city centre. Remember to bring toiletries, shower gel, shampoo.
Like a model set for crime watch. So smoke-infused we walked inside and felt like we’d replaced someone who’d just left after staying inside for 5 years chain smoking darts. Lacking basics like milk, clean dish cloths, dish rack, etc.
The bed linen and towels were clean.
Booked this last minute in our way from the airport to Arthur’s Pass. The room was great with all we needed in the kitchen as well. There is a small gas station not far away where you can buy some food to cook. Other than that there really isn’t much at the town. But we loved it. Also the owner was super sweet and welcoming. Great to be able to park right in front of your own room.

The restroom is great
The Kitchen is great
The roommate, staff are great
The only point I dislike is they provide refrigerator but not freezer so I cant buy some ice cream haha

Very Good
GGUIYINGThe hotel has a parking lot and no breakfast, but the location of the hotel is very good. It is a few minutes away from the large supermarket, Chinatown and food street. It is very convenient to eat. You can also come to the supermarket to buy food and cook for yourself. This hotel has Chinese service.

GGuest UserThe facilities are very good, everything is available, like newly renovated, although there are 5 rooms in total, the internal space is large, and there is a large yard. There are some flying insects and sand flies in the room. I asked the hotel for insecticide spray and sent it over. The price is affordable, and the Bitkapo Lake is much cheaper. It is 60 kilometers back and forth. When I checked out, I accidentally dropped a U-shaped pillow.
GGuest UserThis is a hotel that was converted from a historic prison. The staff are very nice and the guests are very friendly. It feels like a big family living together. It is not too far to walk to the city, so everything is very convenient.

AAnonymous UserThe location is good with good water view. But the toilets n showers are a bit limited for the no of guests on each floor. The kitchen is sufficient but the stove is a bit old.
Jjjx1102The room is large, a bit like a one-bedroom, one-living-room, one-bathroom house. Everything is convenient. You can park your car in front of your room. The location is great, very close to Roy's peak, only 7 minutes' drive away. It's not far from the town center. If you like to walk, you can get there in half an hour. The scenery along the Wanaka Lake is amazing!
RRETA oyaIt was Easter 🐣 week so the shop was closed, so I called and they opened the door for me.
The shop is a bar, so it may be crowded on normal days, but I think it's a good idea to check with the staff. Everyone is very friendly and kind, so you can enter the room with peace of mind. The private room is as shown in the photo, and it even has a refrigerator. It was kept clean and very comfortable. It was raining and the outside temperature dropped, but it didn't affect the room. The shared space is the kitchen, shower and toilet, but this shop has been there since the 1800s, so you can feel the history. However, the kitchen has been remade and is induction compatible. I have only ever used gas, but I was able to use it without any problems!
I also decided on this hotel because I was planning to watch a rugby game. It is about a 15-minute walk away, and there are McDonalds and other places, and the street lights are basically on, so I think the security is not a problem.
I highly recommend this hotel over other Doritomi, so please give it a try!
Thank you for a wonderful time!
